Well Fockers the curse struck again this morning.
I spent it in the ER. Can you believe it??!! DH had a seizure as soon as he got to work @ 7AM. I worked until 6AM. I had been asleep for 15 minutes when I got the call. We've been through it before, so it wasn't that big a deal. They did the routine stuff. His DR. is switching his anti-seizure meds around due to the upcoming chemo. and the levels must not quite be right. Now he has to take a third scrip. :eek: We didn't get out until 11:45AM. They did a great job.
:hug:

Night All !!

Morning Rosie :wave2:

Hey everyone doing a quick drive by. As you all know my soon to be ex was to have the kids for the next 2 weeks but he dropped them off with me on Saturday morning saying that he had no money, couldn't afford a hotel room and rental car and that he would come back each morning to see the kids and take them some place. Needless to say he's now out in CA with some family (mostly the fiances') members. But, I'm happy to have my babies home and we have had nothing but fun this entire weekend. :)

Ugh, how are the kids holding up? He must be a real piece of work :sad2:

Oh, speaking of savings. Does anyone else use ING? I've had a savings there for years that I empty out every once in a while when money is tight but the kids had their savings at a local bank. I think the banks are paying less than .25% or something really bad on savings accounts. ING pays 3% so we decided to move the kid's accounts. At ING if you join with a $200 deposit and you have clicked on a link from an existing customer they will give you $25 and give the existing customer $10. The fine print says one $25 offer per household but I thought WTH we were switching their accounts anyway and gave it a try. I used DH as the adult since my name is the main account holder on our account and opened both of the kid's accounts through a link that I sent to their email addresses (set up for occasions such as this). When I checked the next week they did indeed each earn the bonus $25 and we had two $10 deposits showing on your own savings. Plus DS's interest for the first month was over a dollar and I think he got about 5 cents max at the other bank. He was so excited and I think it's really got him primed to start saving more.:thumbsup2

We are thinking of doing this for Jimmy. How does it work. do you electronically transfer from your regular bank to the ING account? Give me details please:flower3:

Janet: Don't worry about your warranty now! If you purchased the car used, I would say that the dealership will stand by it even if Chrysler doesn't... Sometimes, I should keep my mouth shut! ;) But, Chrysler IS in big trouble....

THanks Mel...At least I won't panic now!:goodvibes

The IL's called yesterday afternoon and while I stood off to the side HISSING in DH's ear that they better TELL me when they're coming...they said they would let us know.
Let us know?
When!? We're leaving in 25 days!!!!
OMG. My blood pressure has GOT to be sky high!

MEL:banana:

Just stay calm Mel. It is just not worth the aggravation and even if they are there during Fockerfest, shame on them....:thumbsup2

I have an ING account and I love it. A great way to save money. I think what I like about it most is that it is hard to spend the money on impulse buys as it takes a few days to transfer it back into your regular account so it gives you time to really think about if you want to spend that money or not.

Janet - Yes it is all done electronically. When you first open the account you send them a cheque in the mail that is linked to the account you want to be able to transfer money in and out of. After that all you have to do is go onto the ING website and log into your account there to transfer money in and out.

Parla Just to let you know it wasn't me who got the double Verizon bill ! I don't have a DH!!:rotfl2: My overage chargesnare never minutes it's the girls getting ringtones !!:scared1: But I do have Verizon!!:lmao:

That was going to be my next question, how do you get the money back. They don't cut you a check, they just deposit it back into your regular account. I am going to talk to Jim about this tonight and set one up for us and one for Jimmy! Thanks for the info.

BTW Lessa we are down to 21 days:banana: :banana:

For Tinkerbell fans this was in the Sentinel this morning:

Tinker Bell may get a new home
Scott Powers | Jason Garcia and Sara K. Clarke, Sentinel Staff Writers

Walt Disney World is planning to add actresses playing Tinker Bell and her friends from an upcoming series of "Disney Fairies" movies -- and might be creating a new attraction based on them.

Disney held auditions last week for actresses to play the Disney Fairies characters in the parks, including Tinker Bell, Silvermist, Rosetta, Iridessa and Fawn.

In a prepared statement, a Disney spokeswoman explained: "Disney Imagineers are currently creating a special new home for Tink and her friends which promises to immerse guests in the world of Pixie Dust at Walt Disney World."

Spokeswoman Andrea Finger would not elaborate about whether this meant the fairy characters will have their own attraction, nor did she specify which park they might appear in.

Except for Tinker Bell, the characters are based on a new "Disney Fairies" entertainment franchise that the Walt Disney Co. has been developing in recent years through children's books, Internet Web pages, games, toys and a series of straight-to-DVD movies that will begin emerging this fall.

Morning, ladies... :goodvibes Krystel- :hug: I hope changing the meds helps. :goodvibes

Katt- :yay: I'm so glad you made it! Have a fun day!!! :yay:

Leesa- Hi! :flower3:

Mel- Yuck! I hate it when I can't plan. :mad:

Jodi- Sounds like you had a nice trip. :cloud9:

Ed- Hi! :banana:

Jen- :hug: It's got to be hard feeling like there's nothing you can do. :sad1:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't have much planned today. once I get a shower and some breakfast, I think we'll head to the office store for some school things I need for history. That's it. We may have lunch with a friend, but she cancelled twice on us last week, so I'm not even telling the kids. :sad2:
I have my 4 week appt. Wed, so the kids are excited I should get to swim after that. :banana: Then my mom's having surgery in Austin Thursday, so I'll be gone all day to be there with her. That'll be a busy few days. I'm going to chill until then. :cutie:
My friend Amy's having a hysterectomy today, so I'm thinking about her today. We talked a while last night and I think I made her laugh more than anything, but she knows what it was like right after I woke up. ::yes::
ROSIE: Had the same issue here. You can call Verizon and lock out the ability to browse and download ringtones, games etc. You should know that Verizon charges by the "bit transfer" NOT the items downloaded. FOR EXAMPLE: If your DD's or GD's are on their phone looking at ringtones (NOT actually selecting them for purchase/download) Verizon is charging them!!! Anytime you access something that ISNT just dialing someone or texting them, you are being charged.
Call them and block it out. We had over 200 dollars in charges and DS never downloaded a thing! Verizon is very deceptive about these charges. I had to go through 4 managers before I got them to remove it because at NO point did they tell their customers that what we USED TO browse for FREE was now costing 2$ per "bit" transfer.....
We did do just that !! I have found Verizon omits a few facts, but they have been good about correcting them !!
BYE !!:wave:
I have no idea what CAD is...:confused3 She's having three surgeries all at once. The big one is to remove a large hernia. The others are some repairs. It's going to be a long day sitting alone at the hospital. I have some books, so that should help. :upsidedow
Yeah...you are getting better.
I lost it before they came to get me and cried for K all the way down the hall, into the elevator, until some sweet nurse hunted him down so I could tell him I love him one more time. :rolleyes:
Then when I was trying to get into the hospital bed from the rolling bed I was having a hard time and declared that I was stuck in the "butt-crack of the two beds." :lmao: My nurse hated me, I swear, and treated me like a druggie when I misunderstood her directions on how to use the morphine pump. :mad: I had to go two hours with no meds b/c she didn't help me understand what was going on. :sad2:
It's funny afterwards, I guess! :rotfl2:
Dh is off to work soon and we have lessons at 10 am. The IL's called yesterday afternoon and while I stood off to the side HISSING in DH's ear that they better TELL me when they're coming...they said they would let us know.
Me - Michael, can you go up and tell daddy that dinner's ready?
Michael - Ok...(he then goes and stands at the bottom of the stairs and YELLS, "Daaaaaad...DINNER'S READY!!!!"
THEN he said to me, "Geeze, did you hear me? I said Dad, dinner's ready. You could've done that yourself!" pirate:
In fact, I bought a treadmill this evening, much to Tony's dismay :rolleyes: .
:cheer2: Here's what you need to make your motivation complete: TV w/DVD player and endless TV series. My personal favorites are Dallas and 90210... I get immersed and forget I'm exercising! :rotfl:
I figured something like this would happen - karma, baby! :goodvibes :hug:
For some reason our "community" has a yard sale in June, July (one day) and August. That's too frickin' much! I know people complained when they used to only do it once so now they are trying to make everyone happy
Yeah, that's almost always a mistake, right?! :headache:
Nope, only thing you can do online is make a new ressie - have to call for anything else.
Leo's at horse camp for his second week and I've got a bunch to do today, so this could be my only check-in. Hope everyone has a good Monday! Here's some protection against The Curse:
