Kat- Really the World of Disney didn't want you? CRAZY! Did you even get an interview?

I can't believe they didn't even give you an interview:confused3

You get the application from the store but then you send it to their corporate division in an office in NYC, I think they then decide who to interview. It was a bummer to never hear from them. I have tons of retail experience but haven't worked since late 2004 so I guess thats the strike against me.

Great news. I have an interview this Friday with an agency...that pays great...and is an early intervention agency for birth to 3...my favorite age group! YAY!

:banana: CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Curry is cooking (and smelling yummy), suitcases are out and stuffed with lots of junk, house is clean and organized. Go me! :woohoo:
So now I am watching the Tudors again. I can't seem to get into it really but I'm still watching it because Jonathan Ryes Myers is HOT:lovestruc . Maybe it's because to me it seems like a drawn out version of "The Other Boylen Girl" (which i really liked). :confused3 I also dl-ed "Brotherhood" and "Rome" so we'll prob get to those this weekend. Anyone watch?
Kat:
I love the Tudors, but not a JRM fan. Ever since I read on Perezhilton that he prefers boys I've been sort of eh...
But, Charles Brandon! YES!
That's too bad about the Disney store not hiring you. That's strange that they wouldn't even give you an interview!
G-luv: YAY! Great Job girl. Now you just go out there and wow 'em!
Jo: That picture made me laugh and I'm not supposed to do anything "vigorous". Lucky for me Bob's injured! Ha! :lmao:
----
Made blueberry pancakes for dinner with veggie sausage. Yum. I really didn't have it in me to do more. My dh is leaving tomorrow and I think that means I'll be getting takeout. The kids don't like to help in the kitchen and I'm way too miserable to cook.
I have a bottle of Merlot breathing right now. We're watching The Rescuers tonight with Gus. I don't plan on doing a single thing tomorrow except Dis'ing.
That is too bad that you aren't getting into The Tudors, I really love that show, especially the first season.
Rome is also an excellent show but of course I like it being the Roman history lover that I am. :goodvibes
Thanks for the offer to help. I want to learn how to fix them, if I can. If I get stumped...I'm emailing you!:)
Sent ya an email :)
Jen when you've loaded your photo on photobucket click the edit button then the distort button, it's great fun, look................... aren't we a beautiful family :rotfl:
Evening All !! Had a tough day at work!! Staff meeting did not go well, I have a headache from all the complaints and if they don't end up introuble for running their stupid mouths which meant I had to follow up on and even after I'm telling them be careful what you say !!This is a VERY regulated field and you can get charges of abuse real easy .. When my boss comes back I know heads are gonna roll !!
it's a good time to go to www.stephaniemeyer.com---read the 1st chapter of Twilight from HIS point of view!
(yeah, just tell that pt holding his chest, it looks like GERD vs a MI and get back to the web!) ;)
Evening Folks.
I haven't seen Tudors, Rome or any others like them... I'm a looser.
I went and got my hair foiled this evening so NOW I can get my Focker Feast Flat Jen to T. Hi T! Na na boo boo...You looking for ME? Huh? Me? Well Jens got some love that I am going to send your way. LOVE! :lovestruc
I am getting ready to post my TR from my mommy and son trip. If you are interested take a looksie. If not, no worries.
I'll just hold it over you for the rest of Fockerdome.;)
I'm going to need Tanya's help getting my link right though. For some reason my puter has a problem with the hyper link thing. :confused3 Tanya says it isn't user error, so just forget that thought right now! :) :lmao:
:cool1: My fav is the other end of the life span! Sure you wouldn't like to work LTC? I work really close with the SLPs with all the dysphagia.
I actually have been there and done that. Not my fav. I had a few patients die on me and I was devastated. I did brain injury team at an acute-care rehab. So, I had stroke, TBIs, and neuro cases...including Alzheimer's and dementia patients. And I had a lot of dysphagic patients. Not my cup of tea. I took a lot of sadness home with me. I admire you though...more than you will ever know...for doing it TE!
Hi girls! :wave2: Just checkin' in. Too many pages to catch up... who's gonna give me a quick recap? Janet? CE?? Anyone???
Here's a funny for you....
When good highlights go bad.....
That is an interesting look
Oh and these are for Mel... "Hi Mel!" :wave:
This is an "Esay" and this is his "Heina".... :cool2:
knotts013.jpg
Oh, and these are "Ruca's" :lmao: and the guy is a "Loc"
knotts010.jpg
Unfortunantly, Andy's co-workers had the run of the park, so the homies were hard to find. :teeth: Finding locs, ruca's, and heina's wasn't easy. BUT, it was easy to spot this guy:
knotts009.jpg
I say it's the "Stay Puft Marshmellow Boy" from Ghostbusters. Andy says he looks like the Pilsbury Dough Boy. :rolleyes1 Who the heck wears all white, anyway? :confused:
So as you all know right now I am set to do a one year Human Resources program starting in September. I am now waffling on that and seriously thinking about going into nursing instead. I would be earning a second degree if I did that and it would mean 4 more years of school unless I am able to get credit for some courses that I took while earning my first degree. I haven't decided yet, if I do go this route I wouldn't be starting school again until next fall! My big hang-up with this plan is that I would be almost 30 by the time I finished with school. :faint: I would have spent just over a decade of my life in university. :eek: I just don't know if it is a good idea or not or whether I would even get into the program. :confused3
I have a SIL who just finished her nursing degree. She's 36. She especially loved working in the ER. I'm not sure how her job search is going.
Love the shirt!
I don't like getting old. I never remember summer going by this quickly!:sad2:
:hourglass ::yes::
Sorry I haven't been around much. I haven't been in a very DIS'ing mood lately with a lot of personal things going on. I truly hate soon to be ex-husbands!!! LOL
:hug: Just take it one day at a time. You'll be OK.
I'm home. The needling went well. It hurts but the pressure went down from 28 to 13! He said that's really good news because it means the scar tissue was exterior and maybe some "middle" but not interior which would have necessitated another eye surgery.
I'm hurting right now and it looks awful but I am just so glad to be done. I really appreciated all the :hug: and positive vibes. I'm going back on Aug. 1st for a check up.
I'm glad your doing well. Hope your feeling better soon.
:rotfl:
Nothin' planned for today so far. Just more job hunting. I'm afraid that if I don't find a job soon I'm going to have to move back home.
I need good thougts here people. I don't care if you say prayers, meditate, or send good vibes. But, I'm in desperate need of a job. None of the jobs that I've been offered pay near enough or have good enough benefits.
I thought this would be easier. I am getting desperate. And I don't know what to do. Thank goodness I have some savings.
I'm doing a 'job for V' jiggy right now.
Kat-
Well, hello Dolly!
I'm also singing 'Goodbye Dolly' for you.
:scratchin Is this Cristian's replacement since he has been such a bad boy!!
okay, i'm caught up ........phewwwwwww......that was a lot of pages!!!
t-- :hug: i'm glad you grandfather went home with hospice. at least he's home and his last days can be comfortable with family around. i know it's a hard thing to go through. they will keep him comfortable , though. that doesn't always make it easy on the family. i worked on the gen med floor before i worked er. i think it was sometimes harder on us to see the family suffer, bc usually the pt is not suffering. i'll be thinking of you:hug:
oh yeah, and t-- those were some hilarious pics!!!!
jen-- i'm hope this job with the agency pans out for ya.
jo-- :hug: on your sister moving
mel-- :hug: i'm glad your doctor appt went okay!!
katt-- hope your daughter is feeling better. :hug:
oh and :hug: to everyone else out there who needs one!!
i know i missed a lot of people, but i wanted to make sure and give those hugs out!!
Ab wants me to get HBO:
--Tudors
--new Tru Blood series!! Did y'all hear about this???? Based on Sookie Stackhouse!!! Can't wait to see Eric!:lovestruc
True Blood is the whole reason we are even getting cable again!!!!!
Check this out: true-blood.net
:scratchin Is this Cristian's replacement since he has been such a bad boy!!
NEVER! Christian has been man man for years!!! I just like me some JRM. :) I'm up to episode 8 BTW!
T- I am utterly offended. I went tonight for foils and my hair looks just like that...but shorter... I really thought the 2 toned look was IN this season. :confused3
No?
I am so not with what those acronyms were that you were picturing for Mel. This is an "Esay" and this is his "Heina" Huh? Who was who.. Why are they that?:eek:
Well, Leo's first day of horse camp was a big success! It was his first time entering a new situation on his own (they have us drop he kids off at a traffic circle, not go in with them), and he handled it like the big boy he is! :goodvibes
He has swimming lessons each morning, and riding lessons each afternoon. He pronounced both his "favorite" parts of the day. He also nominated "cleaning horse poop" his least favorite.
Yay for Leo! So glad he likes both activities. And what a helpful little boy you have there! :laughing:
OK, I am depressed . Jim and I were talking and he was saying to me how he needs to get over to school to start setting up his classroom for the new school year. I kept looking at him like he had 3 heads and then I looked at the calander. I can't believe the summer is almost over:eek: He has to get the classroom ready before we leave for Weinerfest becasue we come back the Friday before labor day and he starts back the Tuesday after labor day.
I don't like getting old. I never remember summer going by this quickly!
It is going by rather quickly isn't it?!?! I think it just seems faster for me though since my baby will be starting Kindy this fall. :sad2:
Bob's hurting worse than me so I'm feeling bad for him right now. He's going on the road tomorrow (to Indiana) and he'll be back Thurs. late. Hopefully he feels a bit better by tomorrow!
Going to rest a bit. I'll check in later guys!
BTW: Jen, have you signed up for Monster dot com? I'm keeping positive vibes goin' for you!!!
MEL:3dglasses (those are my big a$$ glaucoma glasses!)
:hug: Mel. So glad that things went well!
:hug: I can only imagine how difficult it is for you right now... esp with your sweet babies gone.
Thanks Jen!
Don't worry - it'll get easier and better, I promise! :hug:
Thanks V!
DS's homecoming was great... He was there when I arrived from work and came right to my car and gave me a big ol' hug :yay: I"m so glad he's back home hehe
:banana: on getting your little man back!!!
Anyone watching the "high school musical get in the picture" show? Those kids are so talented!!!! I was in awe!
Linds and I watched it on Sunday and then I'm DVR'ing the rest of the episodes to watch when she gets back. I highly doubt dad will be sitting down to watch this with her let alone even know what High School Musical is. :laughing:
Well, hello Dolly!
It looks like tropical storm Dolly is headed to the TX & Mexico border via the Gulf. We should only get a good rain here, but I hope that it's pretty mild and there's a minimal amount of damage everywhere else.
Oh no!!! Hope you guys are safe! We were living in Ft. Worth at the time Katrina hit New Orleans. I think that was actually supposed to come for Dallas wasn't it? Either way I had my family and friends calling just about every day asking how we were and if we were safe. Kind of a scarey time since I have lived all my life in WV and tonardoes rarely pop up around here.
I'm so sorry, you know we're here if you want to vent :hug:
Golf went OK, I came about 3rd so OK. On the way home I told the girls about Em moving and they were devastated lots of tears, I didn't know what to say really! My Mum said think of all the lovely vacations, but as a kid would you be interested in visiting NY? Nope they're not either!
Thanks Jo! And :hug: to you and the girls.
We visited the living history center today. It's called Conner Prairie and is only about 1 1/2 miles from our house.
That place sounds so cool! When I first got married we lived in VA. Soon to be ex and I loved going to Colonial Williamsburg and wondering around there and listening to things.
Well she has a double trouble brewing in little girl world.
A kidney infection... her first one.. and a BAD RASH..
Not a good combo.
She can't have Cranberry juice.. ALLERGIC
She spent a good part of yesterday afternoon sitting in water to ease the rash..Cream I used on her.. burned like fire ants.. this cream Dr gave me is not as bad.."lotrisome" .. and today the rash is not as bad mostly from sitting in the water.
Oh no poor baby!!! :hug:
My DD had her first, and only UTI last year. She was with her dad for a few days for a visit and then when she got home we left a few days for Disney. I didn't even realize anything was wrong with her until we got to FL and she had to pee so much that she was peeing her pants and I had to put diapers on her. :sad1: Finally it dawned on me what it was when I was with her in the bathroom one time and she said it burned when she peed. We went to the peds as soon as we got home.
Great news. I have an interview this Friday with an agency...that pays great...and is an early intervention agency for birth to 3...my favorite age group! YAY!
