Saturday 26th July 2008- It sure aint takeout!
Ok, so are you ready for a shameful confession? Its the second (third if you count the day we arrived) day of our vacation and, apart from DTD, we
still havent hit WDW. I know! The shame!

However, at this point we were like Three weeks? Thats forEVER, we have all the time in the world. Which of course, we didnt.
Anywho, the girl in me wanted to go shopping. And I persuaded the boy that it would be super fun, promising him at least one sports store and reminding him he still needed a suit for V&As.
So we hit Mall at Millennia. Thats the place that makes your eyes water when you check out prices. Seriously. We went in Tiffanys and I spotted a gorgeous necklace with stars on and, ok, I know its Tiffanys but I thought, its a necklace, its costume jewellery, how bad can it be? Matt said I could have it as my Christmas present from him. Cool. So we asked the sales assistant if we could look. I spotted the price tag: $20000.

Cue, you know what honey? Maybe we should look some other places first? aka if you break it, Ill have to sell my car and all my worldly possessions so lets scram.
Anywho, food. I honestly hadnt ever heard of PF Changs.

Chinese is my absolute favourite though, so it was pretty much a that place does Chinese, lets eat. Again, no pics here *yet* but as soon as the lovely folks at Asda develop my camera theyll be scanned and up!
Now this place was much more full of your adult couples than your theme park crowd so no luck on the party of two fastpass front. It was an hour wait. But I wanted to eat there and there was a bar so, whats the problem? We sat at the bar and ordered a Changs Mai Tai for me, a Bud for Bud Boy and some chicken noodle soup to be munching on.
Changs Mai Tai= yum. The bar chick was super-generous with the rum, so much so I figured there must be some pirate in her blood. It was Bacardi, Myers Dark Rum, orange curacao (they do orange? New to me!) and some random juices. It was yummy and boy did it have a kick! I didnt need another (but dont worry, fellow drink-lovers, I managed to squeeze one in!

). Oh, Matts Bud was good old Bud. Hes our lovely designated driver so he doesnt manage to get too adventurous (hey, you whine for an upgraded rental car, you drive it buster!). He will make up for it soon, however.
The chicken noodle soup was good too. I am a MASSIVE chicken noodle soup fan so was very excited. Heres its made with shiitake mushrooms, tomatoes and cilantro. I think the cilantro (which I didnt know until I asked are coriander leaves) totally took the flavour of the broth away though, I ended up picking through them. On the other hand, Matt LOVED them so I guess its just personal taste. And you cant beat shiitake mushrooms. Mmmmm.. The bowls are MASSIVE though. We were going to order one each but the waitress was like you wont need it. And we didnt. We got a huge serving bowl and made about four smaller bowls out of it, with some left over.
About half an hour after that our pager, which we were just bashing on the counter to try and bring to life, buzzed and we were led to our table. We were soooo hungry (yes, I know weve just eaten soup big enough to feed a small country, but we had no lunch!) so we quickly ordered Changs chicken lettuce wraps. Matt was busy frowning at this because he doesnt believe in salad as part of the major food groups but I promised itd be good (not that I had any basis for promising whatsoever!). And it
was good!!! Spicy minced chicken served in crispy lettuce cups, whats not to like? And it was nice and light, leaving plenty of room. We both gobbled this up and it even pleased the Anti-Salad Party Leader.
Next I thought it was time for another drink. So I got a Royal Poolside. This was Captain Morgan and Malibu rum, blue curacao, oj and pineapple juice. Yum! So refreshing! And Blue curacao is quickly becoming my favourite spirity-thing.
For dinner I had Chicken with Black Bean sauce. Now, this is my staple diet back home and you have to be really good to impress me. And they did! The sauce was spicy, but not too spicy, it was thick and there was plenty of it. The chicken was tender and juicy and the veg that came with it were cooked just to crunch and very fresh. So good! We split an order of chicken fried rice which was good, but nothing special. I like mine drowned in soy sauce so I had to add more. Matt was way disappointed duck didnt appear in any form on the menu but got over it and ordered Wok Charred Beef. This was beef with marinated mushrooms and roasted sweet peppers. He said it was good, the beef was very well cooked but the sauce was a bit too sweet. I didnt try this one but it really must have been for him to say something as hes a big fan of sweet sauces usually.
No dessert for us here because we were stuffed! But overall I loved this place and we will definitely be back, just with reservations next time!
Next up, the real food porn starts with piccys and a buffet-fest- Crystal Palace and Boma!!! Thanks for reading!!!
