Our school is on huge budget cuts, they are having to get rid of several teachers and support staff...so nope on the bonuses, they've never given any in the past either tho.
I also didn't think that public schools could give bonuses. Teachers are underpaid all year. If there's extra money, it ought to be incorporated into raises that are spread out through all the pay periods.
Our teachers received a Christmas bonus - $200! from a catholic school. Catholic school teachers are soooo underpaid that whenever the school can, it does give out bonuses.
ROTFLMAO!!!!!!
Seriously, we have a catered lunch on the last day but we have to pay $10 for it. It used to be a potluck.
We got donuts the other day when we met our new superintendent.
I'm in HS so I'll be lucky to get anything from anyone but my secret santa!

I teach in Public School now and there is no bonus. When I taught in a Catholic School, I received $100 bonus. However my salary now is TRIPLE over what I made there five years ago.
Our bonus was we were told we were going to have to take 10% reduction in teaching staff per school next year. I thought it was awful nice of them to tell us before the holidays
