Hi, hope someone who has visited Tchoup Chop with children will answer this question...

I REALLY REALLY want to eat at Tchoup Chop on our visit next month, but from looking at the menu, I know my two DSs (14 & 10) will turn their nose up at everything that's "different".

Are there any "normal" (i.e. bland, american food  ) things offered that will appeal to picky kids that aren't offered on the menu?

Thanks for your replies!

They did have a kids menu. My older DD got a chicken finger meal. But I seem to remember it had "different" crust - maybe japanese breadcrumbs or something. Not really too different, but not McDonalds.

My younger DD ate all of my moms spicy shrimp appetizer skewer!! Go figure. There is also mac and cheese that they can get. It was kind of stiff and formed in a mold.

Also, while I loved my meal, the chicken I received on the sampler platter tasted like chicken I would have grilled in our back yard on the BBQ. Plain grilled (BBQ, but no sauce) chicken.

Actually my sons 14 & 10 could probably stay in the room by themselves, I just don't want to dine alone! :) Anybody out there like to join me at Tchoup Chop for dinner? :smooth:

OH, let them go with you......... and "experience" something "different" they may just suprise you!!! You could also suprise them, get them a non alcoholic tropical drink or something, maybe a special dessert....... make it a real "treat", an outing they'll never forget!!! But, please don't put them in with a sitter!!! :( This could be one of those "special" memory moments!! Your two little "men" taking you to dinner!! AHHHH

My boys loved this restaurant, I just went and checked in my album, and my two older one's had for dinner, the calamari, Kobe ribs and crusted salmon, my middle one got the big kahuna drink. My little one got the fettucine alfredo with shrimp and a surfs up drink........ the loved it!!!

I know your boys will have a great time!!

We went kidless back in October and set at the chefs table (the seats in front of the kitchen) While the chef was preparing our elegant 5 course meal he was also incharge of the kids cheese burger meals. Very ample portions of hand patted beef. Talking to him he told us that it is KOBE beef, because of the food service laws a resturant can only have 1 type of ground beef on the premises, they serve the Kobe beef burgers at lunch $$$ to the adults and at dinner kids get the same burger cheap. we had a great time there. and the prices were better that Emerils at city walk....the chef table was $48/person but you were stuffed...we are planning on having Chistmas dinner there this year (if they are open)

Thanks for the great suggestions! I'm relieved there is a children's menu, "just in case" they can't find anything they'd like on the regular menu. My little one will eat ANYTHING, but my oldest is soooooooo picky, drives me nuts!! Thanks again!

Do they have anything basic like pizza or hotdogs?

I know, I know, but my little guy is really picky.

My DS (10) loved the chicken tenders & fries my DD (13) loved the pasta trust me the kids love this place it may not be seen as kid friendly but it is the kids menu are chefs hats for them to wear so it tells u the restuarant are not against kids:jester:
