Hi, can anyone help !!
I have been to orlando (from the uk) before and used 'travel city direct'. They were good and cheap but very basic. Has anyone used a company that is just as, or nearly as cheap as TCD. If there is one I may fancy travelling with them. Failing that, would it be cheaper to organise my own holiday, eg. book the airline, hotel, car hire etc seperatly on line? If so, where would I start, it's a minefield !!
Thanks all.

Depends what you are looking for and when you want to travel. We prefer to organise our own flights, accommodation, car etc as we have very specific requirements and like to have free choice over our flight times, date of travel, number of days away etc. We also prefer flying scheduled rather than charter. We tend to use Expedia (www.expedia.co.uk) and Airline Network (www.airline-network.co.uk) and use an accommodation agent recommended by a friend. Maybe we could find a cheaper package, I don't know. But we get the exact holiday arrangements that we want.

My suggestion would be to check out Expedia for flight prices for the dates you want to go, and do some sums. In my view, cheaper isn't always better.

Try Funway holidays
this worked out very cheap for us last trip flying on america airlines

I was wondering in what way TCD were basic. I have travelled on their aircraft numerous times and have always been more tha happy, free drinks, movies normal airline food, friendly staff. The price is usually hundreds of pounds cheaper than the competition ie virgin.
