Has anyone heard any rumors on who the TBD celebrity narrators are for the Candlelight Processional? We are trying to plan our trip and would like to know who is going to be there!!!

Here you go:

Who are the narrators?

The schedule of those who will appear as narrators for performances of Epcot's 2008 Candlelight Processional, the annual retelling of the story of Christmas that features a mass choir and a full orchestra:

November 28-30 John O'Hurley
December 1-3 TBD
December 4-6 Brian Stokes Mitchell
December 7-9 Virginia Madsen
December 10-12 Monique Coleman
December 13-15 TBD
December 16-18 Chita Rivera
December 19-21 Abigail Breslin
December 22-24 Steven Curtis Chapman
December 25-27 Edward James Olmos
December 28-30 Marlee Matlin

December 1-3 was originally supposed to be Patti LaBelle, which is why we got the CP package for 12/3. I pray it's someone good, though I wouldn't be surprised if Gary Sinise was filled in on one of those TBDs since he does it often and is not on this year.

Yes, Gary loves to do it. He is usually scheduled right around Christmas. We've seen him before and loved it.

Here you go:

I think the OP was wondering if there were any rumors as to who might take the TBD slots.

Unfortunately, there is some liquidity in the schedule as it is. I believe last year we were supposed to see Phylicia Rashad, but then it changed to Monique Coleman. I wonder if they keep a few slots as TBD until later in case they need to slide someone from another slot if something comes up, and then fill in later with whoever they can get.

Sometimes you might be able to infer possibilities by who ISN'T listed. For instance, Gary Sinise is notably absent from the list this year. And with HSM3 due in October, Disney might want to plug another cast member in there if they can...but please understand I have NO information on this, I am NOT a CM and I'm just making suppositions.

Otherwise, next week we'll be hearing Zac Efron and the Jonas Brothers will be taking over all the slots next week... :)

doconeill-- You are right...we are trying to decide if we are flying down on Friday or Saturday. We were hoping to know before we have to book the trip. I was hoping for Kirk Cameron since he's not on the list this year!

I have emailed Disney.com because there are some conflicting dates on different websites. (wdwinfo.com and allears.net say that the 10-12 is Monique and the 13-15 is TBD)(disney.com says 10-12 is TBD and the 13-15 is Monique) so I'm not sure who is right!

So hopefully they will figure it out soon!

We saw Edward James Olmos last year. He was amazing! We refrained from yelling, "frak 'em up, Admiral!' but it was difficult. I only wish I could've had him sign my toaster...

No Kirk Cameron???? I'm in shock, and very sadly disappointed :confused3

I will be seeing Marlee Matlin for sure, and would love to see Abigail Breslin. Or, I might just go see all of them, it's that good.

But I really am sad not to see Kirk Cameron this year. He did a great job.

I would also be interested in seeing his sister, Candice Cameron Burr (DJ from Full House, for those who don't know.) But she's probably too busy with her family to take time to do it.

Hey Orlando313...
I'm right there with you wishing for Kirk!! Almost went 2 years ago to see him, but decided to do a birthday trip instead! Then didn't go last year...now I'm going and he's not there! I'm hoping that he'll be the TBD when I'm there. I even went on his website to see if it listed any upcoming appearances. I didn't see any! I'm going to keep wishing and hoping that he will be there!

I sent Disney an email and here is what they sent back...

Be aware that this list and dates seems to change every couple of weeks....first to change was Patti LaBelle.....Monique's dates have changed twice now.

So, if you really have your heart set on one person, you need to be sure that you check often and be prepared to find the ADRs difficult to come by for many of the restaurants. I originally made an ADR for Patti, then when she was dropped, I thought about cancelling, but figured since I have it already I'll keep it and hope it's someone good to replace her. If not, I'll cancel it then. And I had originally booked for Monique on the 14th, now she's changed to the 10-12 and there is none of our preferred restaurants open, so I had to take a distant second choice. Not sure whether I should cancel the 14th or wait and see if that too is someone worth going again! It sounds like it's a very cool event and worthy of two trips, but I'm not so sure about three, lol.

And before someone gets up in arms about me having three ADRs....if I'm willing to pay for them, then I'm entitled to them. I also have Le Cellier and Coral Reef each booked two different nights while we're there and if the first visit to each is not worth it, I'll cancel the second, because the reviews are so mixed. Of course, I got those ADRs because someone else cancelled, so eventually someone else may benefit from MY cancelling too. And yes, I'll cancel with several days to spare so someone can grab it (and I'll post it here if I have a chance).

Otherwise, next week we'll be hearing Zac Efron and the Jonas Brothers will be taking over all the slots next week... :)

As completey great as the Jonas Brothers would be I think it would completely destroy the Christmas story to hear thousands of screaming fans. However I would seriously consider going if the Jo Bros were going to read. Maybe in a few years if there fans have calmed down enough to have enough respect. Until then I doubt the Jo Bros would be asked to read.

Kirk's got six kids under age 13. Why do you figure that Candice (3 kids) is tied up with her family and not Kirk?

A lot of mom's are more hesitant to leave their families for extracurriculars than father's are.

Maybe it's more because Candace has done 4 movies in the last 2 years....and Kirk has one movie since 2005. Sounds like she's a lot busier in front of the camera than he is lately. Of course he's been on more talk shows, lol.

Doesn't he have a regular show for teens on Christian broadcasting? I know he produces, directs and is heavily involved in the Christian teen movement.
