I hope today finds Taylor feeling much better and she got some rest last night!

Ok so we are going over our plans & we have a few questions????????
I guess the easiest way to do it is just list the questions.....
~ We are planning on trying to do US/IOA in one day & then AK/HS in one day, we are trying to get there early if possible but we are thinking of breakfast? We know that the Gingerbread House opens at 8 does anyone know what time the cart for breakfast comes around? The girls & I don't really eat a big breakfast & we are trying to get to the parks early but we don't want to waste money ~ Any suggestions????
The bunny book says that the breakfast cart starts at 8am too. There is an express breakfast at the ice cream palace that starts at 7:45 (we didn't try that). We went to Walmart the first night we arrived (DH went at 11pm!!!) and got bagels, nutri grain bars, juice, etc. to eat breakfast in the villa for the days we wanted to leave early! You could even get cereal and milk if you wanted because you have a full fridge in the villa. We did eat breakfast at the GH 3 days I think, it was very good.
~ How far is GKTW from the parks? On Friday we are planning on going to Epcot in the morning then MK late afternoon/night is it worth going back to GKTW to eat lunch/early dinner?
About 20-25 minutes, but parking and getting into the park does take time. Especially at MK, taking the monorail or ferry will add an extra 20 minutes or so. On the day we did Epcot and DHS we didn't go back to GKTW, it would've wasted too much time in between. The kids rested in the car on the way to DHS (10-15 ride) and had a snack.
~ SW & US/IOA offer a food plan do you think it is worth buying this ? It is about $25 an adult & $15 a child to eat for the day.
If you plan to eat lunch and dinner there it might be worth it.
~ We don't want to waste alot of $ on food if we can eat for free.... but we want to have enough time in the parks.
That is a real struggle!!!
We have my parents, my brother & his girlfriend meeting us there so we know that some time will be spent in lines since they are not part of the Wish trip... so we want to have enough time in the park.
I also heard that Toontown is closed is that true? Yes.
Can you guys give me some tips on the best places to see characters in each park? I know there are alot of them LOL The girls want to see the princesses of course. They want to fill their autograph books but we don't know where to find all the characters.....
I know the fairies moved to Epcot, Mickey and Minnie and hte princesses (cinderella, belle, and sleeping beauty) are now doing meet and greet in the front on MK I think. We saw Tiana in frontierland and Ariel in Adventureland. Daisy and Donald were doing greet right as we walked in to MK. We saw Woody and Jessie in the move it shake it celebrate daytime parade at MK, not sure if this parade is still going on.
We have 2 ADR's the first is Chef Mickeys our first night there the next is Crystal Palace on Monday for lunch....
We loved, loved, loved CP!!!!
I know we have more ? but I can not think of them right now... my husband's biggest concern was the food.....![]()
Also please give me suggestions for must sees in each park........
I feel like we missed so much, but everything we saw was fantastic. Just know that as much as you plan and want to see everything you possibly can, you will NOT get to see it all. That was hard for me to take (I'm still not happy about it). There is just too much to see and not enough time even with the GAC. Try to take some time to just take it all in. It will be over so fast!!!
Taylor started her 7th round of chemo today.... she is doing ok, a headache & some nausea. She is so tired she cried herself to sleep on the way home then she woke up when we got home for a lil while then cried herself to sleep again. It breaks my heart that she has to go through all of this....
I thought I would take a few min to update you all & get my questions out there....
We got 3 Big Gives today but Taylor was not feeling good so we didn't open them... Hopefully tomorrow...![]()
Thank you all VERY much for all your well wishes for Taylor.... she woke up feeling bad this morning. She had a horrible headache, leg cramps etc... but we are here now & after an hour & a half of IV hydration she is feeling a bit better. We are waiting for the doctor to come up to talk to her because they are trying to figure out if she needs more hydration during the day or if she needs hydration at home. The problem with home hydration is they don't want to mess up her Diabetes Insipidus & that could cause a big problem.... so we sit & wait.....
Thank you all for the advice, I think we are going to go to Walmart & get some cereal, bagels, etc to have at GKTW. I forgot about that being so close... can you tell my mind is shot????LOL
Here is our plan of attack for our trip, let me know if I am crazy
Sunday Mar 13 ~ our plane lands at 12:05pm, we are hoping to make the afternoon orientation, the kids will explore GKTW with Johnny while I go to orientation, then we want to go to DTD for a bit before our 7:50 ADR at Chef Mickey's. I think that Tim had said it is a bit of a drive from DTD to CM ~ how early do we have to be there for our ADR?
From DTD - as long as you know where you are going - it should only take about 20-25 to get there...probably less...but with parking, walking in, etc...
You can be a bit late, though and they should keep your ADR for you.
Don't forget to plan some time to hang out at GKTW.![]()
Monday Mar 14 ~ this is the day my family is meeting up with us so we are planning on eating breakfast at GKTW, go to MK around 11 or so. My family will be meeting us at MK around 1 ~ 1:30. We have ADR at Crystal Palace at 2:40. This will be my family's only day at MK so we will be here all day. We want to see the parades, fireworks, night parade.... not to much to ask is it?????The park is open until 1 AM ~ though I doubt my girls will make it that late at least my family can stay if they want to.....
Sounds good!!There may be a later parade (11, I think?) that may be less crowded than the first one.
You should be able to get a LOT done with the magic button!
Tuesday Mar 15 ~ We are planning to go to US/IOA this day so we want to try to be there when the park opens. US closes at 7pm & IOA closes at 9pm so we are going to US first then IOA. My girls are not big on thrill rides so I don't think we will be short on time here???? They have no interest whatsoever about Harry Potter either so I think we may even skip that????
Then you guys should be fine!
Wednesday Mar 16 ~ We really want to do AK in the morning then HS.... The biggest things we want to do at AK is Safari, lion King show, Dinoland, Dinosaur, Meet & greets, then HS is open until 10pm that night so we figure we should have enough time for both... or at least I hope we do LOL
We *may* be at AK on this day!
U should be golden since you have the magic button!
Thursday Mar 17 ~ Eat breakfast at GKTW then go to Seaworld for the day... going back to GKTW for the Christmas celebrations at night. My family will be coming to GKTW also....
Ahhh...Christmas! We are going to try to come for Christmas if Lauren is feeling up to it by Thursday.![]()
Friday Mar 18 ~ Epcot in the morning with my family then they are leaving around 2pm to go home....we figure the kids will have the most fun at MK so we are going to go back there for the evening/night.
We are doing DHS and AK this day...go figure. But your plans sound great! Great last night to see the fireworks and such again!
Saturday Mar 19 ~ Our flight home is 2:40 (I think) so we will have breakfast at GKTW, they have horseback riding til 11 that morning so we will just hang out there until it is time to leave
Are our plans crazy???? To much or do they sound reasonable? We are planning on going with the flow but I like to have at least a base plan.....![]()
You have some really great, and practical plans here. Just remember, you don't have to do EVERYTHING you plan for the trip to be PERFECT. Planning is super. I am a big planner myself, but when you get there, then it is time to go with the flow and let the MAGIC happen. It surely will. Never let commitment to your plans spoil moods. Relaxing is a big part of making this work.Thank you all VERY much for all your well wishes for Taylor.... she woke up feeling bad this morning. Oh, and one more thing. Something WILL go wrong. But don't let it throw you. There will be magic to make up for the hassle.
I think your plans look great.I'm sure you will all have a great time and having a loose idea of where/what you want to do will help for sure. I'm so excited for you all. I really loved doing Disney as a big group.
Don't forget that your family members can try to get fast passes for some of the rides too, so let's say you go to check out the Laugh Factory in Tomorrowland, they can run over quickly to get Buzz' fast passes and may be able to join you on the FP line when you go to Buzz.
So what did the DR's decide about Taylor's hydration?
Hope Taylor is feeling better tonight!! its great reading Tim's TR brought lots of laughes and smiles to her!

I hope today is a better day for Taylor.Thinking of you guys this week. What a great idea to read some TR's to help keep her mind on Disney!!

Hope Taylor is feeling better--and that the Disney TRs have helped to distract her from her illness. Just a few days to go....and she too will get to meet the characters, take in the shows and rides and parades!
