taxis to downtown

we are due to take a 7 day Disney cruise and from what I understand we are likely to be back at Orlando Internatinal Airport by 10.30-11.00. Therefore I have two questions
a) from my investigations so far the Vrigin check-in for the Manchester flight at 18.15 opens at 12.45. Can any of you out there confirm this?
Once we've checked in I was thinking that we might go for a "last fling" to Downtown Disney. Therefore my final question is
b) has anyone any ideas of the cost of a taxi from the airport to Downtown Disney?

They chuck you off the cruise ship about 7.30-9am depending on your breakfast seating, so you will be at the airport pretty early. I don't know about the Manchester check in times, but the taxi prices...I think you are probably looking at about $40 each way. Not cheap. Tiffany's and the like charge $45 one way in a Towncar to the WDW hotels - but I don't think it will be much cheaper in a taxi. You might try getting a quote from Tiffany by emailing them direct from their website Tiffany's - they quote $85 return on their site to the WDW resorts, plus have a $5 off coupon, so it might be worth asking them. And the Towncars are much nicer to travel in than a taxi!
