Taxis from Yacht club to parks (AK and MK)--time and cost?

I tried to do a googlemap search to figure out driving time from Yacht Club to AK, but it told me 26 minutes...which can't be right, can it?

At the YC, will there be taxis waiting outside the front entry way, or would I have to call (or have a CM call) for a cab to meet me? This would be at approx 7:30 am, if it makes a difference.

Basically, I'm wondering about the fastest way to get from YC to AK by 8:00 am.

later that same day (probably around 4 or 5 in the evening) we will want to go to MK from YC. Any thoughts on the travel time and cost of a taxi, vs. using the bus?

There is a thread on the YC & BC under resorts, and I am pretty sure this question has been asked there. You can try searching for it, and if you don't find it, I would try posting there. There is a lot of good information on the YC & BC resorts. I found it very helpful when we were planning on visit to BC.

A taxi from the YC to AKL will cost about $20 and it's about a 10 to 15 minute drive. The only problem is that sometimes the parking lot doesn't open until 8:00 or a little after. I would just take the bus.

A taxi from YC to MK will cost about the same and take about 15 minutes. I would just take the bus - it won't take much longer and will drop you off right at the park gate instead of the TTC.
