I'd like to take a taxi over to the AKL from WL. I would like to dine over there with my 2 y.o. Can I take my carseat and leave it at the front desk or somewhere else while we dine?
How do you securely ride with a toddler in a taxi? (Can you tell we don't live in the city! LOL!)

I don't know but they hold people's luggage while they wait for a room to become available so why not a car seat? I would call AKL and find out for sure, but I would hope they would accomodate you.

One tip I read recently, when installing the car seat in the taxi, make sure that one adult stays outside the car until the seat is buckled in securely. I have heard sometimes taxi drivers will take off before the seat is installed and this prevents them from doing that. :)

You might also be able to request a car seat from the taxi company but I don't know if I would want to rely on that. Just a thought...

Thanks for the tip. I'm traveling alone with child so I'll have to leave the door open until I'm done installing.

Leaving the door open won't stop many drivers from taking off... perhaps tell the driver to start the meter, but don't leave until you're ready????
