Taxi Vans??

Can you call ahead for one of these (if so what is a reliable name of a cab co. at Orange County Airport) or are the readily available when you want to find one.... Will we need carseats for our little ones if we take a cab and they still use the car seats at home?? Will be 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 large suitcases, several carry on bags and a large stroller and think this is our best option on getting straight to the Disneyland Hotel without any other stops.. What do you think?

we go to Disneyland! We call ahead of time, give them our credit card number ahead of time so we dont have to hassle with it. They get our flight time, number and are sitting outside of the baggage claim area at John Wayne aka Orange County waiting for us. We have used them the last 6 times we have gone to DL and have had nothing but great service from them. They charged us I believe 80 dollars round trip last time for 4 adults and 3 kids. It is only about 15-20 min ride to anaheim from orange county without traffic and was worth it. We were there over 9-11-01 and of course couldnt get home on the day we were supposed to go. We called these people and of course they knew what was going on. They along with us checked out airline schedules and called my husbands cell phone when they got updated! They went above and beyond their duty! They also gave us 1/2 price shuttle back to the airport when we could finally fly home because we had to spend extra money we werent counting on to stay extra days! WE love using them! They have been very efficient! We had a 2 year old at the time and since we were so close we didnt bother with a car seat but put him in a seat belt (I know save the lectures!) but it worked great! I am sure they would have seats if you asked!!!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you... I think a van is what we need with all our stuff and wanting to go straight to the hotel and not make a whole bunch of stops..

I've read about Express Shuttle. I booked reservations with them last week. I was very impressed with the info I received from them, and they allowed me to make reservations flying into LAX unlike SuperShuttle who does not. There is nothing worse than "duking" it out over a van at the airport. We were getting the luggage loaded on a Supershuttle at John Wayne many years ago, and other people just climbed in the van and sat down, not leaving us enough seats. I am traveling alone with my kids this time...and wasn't going to deal with that.

and it was such a nightmare and that was the day that I discovered Express Shuttle. They had a "spare" driver waiting there and we asked him if he would take us since we could only fit about 1/2 of what we had on the super shuttle van and he took us for 10 dollars cheaper and we were the only ones on it. He also made a return reservation for us right there and they were at the hotel right on time (in fact a few minutes early) waiting for us!! The last time we went was during the 9-11 fiasco and the Friday after they met us at the hotel and actually they were waiting for us to get back from going to DL for the day! He waited long enough for my daughter to run back to DL to get some jewels! I was very impressed!
