We have a 7 a.m. ADR at CM's on May 29. I am trying to figure out what our best option is to make this ADR on time. I'm leaning toward taking a cab because:

1) I know that Character busses run early but I don't think they'd run early enough for us to check in by 7 in the morning.

2) We WILL have our own car and I was leaning toward taking it originally BUT we plan to go straight to the MK after our breakfast and I don't want to have to worry about moving our car after we eat since we'd have to park at the CR.

So I'm leaning toward the taxi. I have never taken a taxi at WDW before and have been doing some research but still have questions that I hope someone on here can answer.

I've heard that the taxis are usually in front of all the resorts but would they be out there before 7 a.m. or would we need to call them? If so, when do we call them...the night before? An hour before? And who do you recommend we call?

Also my son will be just shy of 3 yrs old when we go. I know he's required to have a carseat in the cab. If they are already lined up out front of Pop could we expect one of them to have a carseat or would we need to call and request it?

I've done WDW multiple times but never did an ADR this early and have never taken a cab and am starting to feel overwhelmed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :worship:

Taxis are readily available at the resorts at all hours, because there are always people heading to breakfasts or late dinners or the airport, and so on. Even if the taxis aren't visible, they are very nearby, and a cast member will be able to summon one for you in unger a minute.

You shouldn't have a problem getting to a 7 a.m. ADR at Chef Mickey's. The buses start running around 6:30 a.m. or so. When I stayed in a Magic Kingdom-view room at Polynesian, every morning starting around 6:45 a.m. I saw buses dropping people off at Magic Kingdom.

When you board the bus, tell the driver that you're headed to an early ADR at Chef Mickey's. Although they aren't required to do it this way, chances are they will drop you off directly at Contemporary Resort rather than taking you to MK and making you walk from there.

Thank you very much for this info! I have read such mixed posts regarding catching the busses to be on time for a 7 a.m. ADR so I wasn't sure. I guess we'll play it by ear but it's great to have a little more info. anyway!

As I understand it, if you're staying at a Disney resort you can park at any of the other resorts for free (someone may correct me on this, I'm not 100%). You could drive your car to breakfast and then walk to MK from there, I believe it's only about five minutes walking.

ETA: Okay, disregard that. Just looked it up and the Contemporary is one of three resorts with a maximum time of 3 hours, so you would not be able to park there and go to MK.
