Does anyone know the cost of a taxi from OKW to the POLY? We have a reservation for breakfast at Ohanas and thought it might be easiest option.

Also is it easy to just get on from outside?

What about just taking the bus from OKW to MK and then hopping on the Monorail? We stayed at OKW last year and the bus service was excellant. Of course if you have the money then do the taxi but I would have no worries with the bus system from OKW if that was a concern.

i saw somewhere they have the buses run in the morning to the parks marked character breakfast...so you can take that bus to magic kingdom and monorail over to poly, plus buses start run one hour before park opening and you can check on this site too park hours...is it an extra magic (morning) one?:confused3

When we did the buses from all star movies it took just over an hour to get there so wanted something quicker this time. I love the disney buses but some times i want to get from A-B quicker.

We definately didn;t have this problem at OKW last year. In fact, we found it real efficient. If you plan it out wisely and give yourself plenty of time to transfer to the monorail, you should be fine. Also, if you are trying to get to the park early that is usually when you find the OKW busses practically empty too.

If you decide to take the bus in the morning, be sure and tell your bus driver that you are going to breakfast at the Poly.

We did this for an early morning ressie at the wilderness lodge (was going to take boat from MK), and our bus driver just stopped at WL for us on the way to MK...

They do not have to do this, but I have heard of other buses stopping for guests that would have to transfer, especially early in the morning when the bus is practically empty.

I've been checking on fares too since we have an 8:30am horseback riding reservation in a few weeks and I really don't want to bus then boat then bus from BCV to FW that early in the morning. (I'd rather sleep in! ;) )

Mears has a taxi fare estimator on their site http://www.mearstransportation.com/services/taxi-fare-estimator.asp

It was a little picky about the address format, but I got it to work by entering 1510 N COVE RD ORLANDO FL 32830 for OKW and 1600 7 SEAS DR ORLANDO FL 32830 for the Poly, and it came back with the following:

Estimated Fare*: $10.97
*Please note that the fare listed above is only an estimate and will vary depending on route taken, time of day and traffic conditions

But they also have a reservation form for hotel to hotel in a town car, and that one comes back $13 for one way! I talked about it with DH, and he thinks the convenience of the town car is worth the extra money (his exact words were, "we're on vacation let's splurge"). Even adding in an extra $5 tip it's still less than 20 bucks. :thumbsup2

You might want to look into renting a car for 24 hours, often it is not much more expensive compared to taking a taxi to/from other resorts and it gives you a nice opportunity to do some additional resort hopping on that day or to even go off site.

There are several rental agencies on property and most will provide
ride to/from their location.

Best wishes :goodvibes

Should be about $15-$18 plus tip, assuming the driver takes the shortest route.

We recently stayed at CSR and took a few cabs when we just couldn't be on another bus. It seemed like no matter where we went...every cab was 12 - 14 dollars...
