Taxi from OKW to supermarket

We'll be staying at the OKW resort and taking the magical express when we arrive. We'd like to do a shopping trip shortly after we arrive. Does anyone know how much a cab ride to the supermarket costs? Which market would be best? Last time I thinnk we went to Publix.

Or, does it pay to have the items delivered? Is there any website where you can choose your items for delivery? How much does it cost?

The closest supermarket is Goodings, but they are expensive, IMHO. Winn-Dixie (check their site for their customer rewards card and to print out their specials for the week) is prettty close, as is Wal-Mart. And I think they are building a new Publix closer to the Crossroads if memory serves me correctly. A taxi would cost about $8-$10 to Goodings, a little higher for other stores. Personally, I would have the groceries delivered.

I agree with beccasmom...Winn Dixie is maybe 3/4 mile farther than Goodings and MUCH better choices and prices. I would check into having groceries delivered. For about what a cab would cost you could probably rent a car for 1 day from Alamo/National and pick up at the Dolphin or Car Care place... that way you could go where you wanted. There is a very nice Albertsons several miles down the same road that the Winn Dixie is on, Publix is even closer. Figure at least $10 each way for a cab to Winn Dixie, maybe $1 less to Goodings.

I'd have the groeries delivered too. For probably the same cost to take a cab in back, you can have it delivered AND spend your time by the pool or a beverage at the Gurgling Suitcase.

Another vote for delivered Groceries...we have used wegoshop.com and really like the experience
