Taxi from MCO to Sheraton Vistiana Villages Resort

Can anyone advise me as to what the Taxi costs might be from MCO to SVVR? Im thinking of using them vs. a shuttle. Which Taxi service should I contact. I am new to Disney this will be our first trip ever so could use some advice from those of you who have been before. Thanks!

According to the Vistana website a taxi from the airport should cost around $40. A taxi cab charges by the meter. I suspect the actual cost will be higher. A car service will cost $100-$125 (+tip) R/T. You can probably get a complimentary grocery stop.

You're asking for advice. Get a rental car. It will cost a few dollars more then a car service. Even if you take the shuttle to Disney you'll want a car. Shopping. Offsite meals. Drive to DTD. Drive to the water parks. Drive to theme parks if the shuttle schedule doesn't work for you.

Under no circumstances would I stay at Vistana without a car.

While yes you could take a taxi or shuttle to your resort, how are getting to the parks?

I don't know the shuttle situation from SVVR, but generally off site hotel shuttles are a bad idea. The only ones I know of that seem to have OK service are Bonnet Creek and the resorts near DTD.

I would do a little research on how the shuttles really run.

To make your travel to area attractions easier, we offer shuttle buses for a nominal fee to the Walt Disney World® Resort, Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney-MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. Taxi service is available to get you to Pleasure Island, Sea World® Orlando, Universal Studios Florida® and Wet 'n Wild.

Some of these shuttles only run a few in the morning and a few at night. Some share with other resorts. Some just drop you off at the TTC and you have to take a Disney bus if you want to get to any other park besides the MK.

The shuttle schedule, coming and going, might work for a day or two. You don't want to be stuck at Vistana without a cart.
