Flying in for a quickie weekend trip so we'll be taking a taxi from either SNA or LGB to the Candy Cane Inn.

It's about $175 cheaper for us to fly into LGB, but if the taxi fare is significantly higher than from SNA, we may just eat the extra money for convenience sake.

Because it's such a quick trip, we don't want to wait/hassle with a shuttle. We want to get off of the plane and go!

Suggestions?

It's supposed to be a $40 flat rate from either of those airports to the DL area. But the return trip, they're not held to the flat rate. I've heard it can run $50-55 on your return trip. I would call CCI and ask them about the flat rate, they should know-- and sometimes the hotels have coupons to get you the same flat rate on your return trip.

I agree, it'd be worth it to just grab the cab and go.

We're doing LGB for the first time this trip. We usually do SNA but our savings going into LGB is well worth it. From what I understand LGB is a very small airport which is very easy to get around. The map says it's about 2 miles more. That being said, it shouldn't be much more. Definately not $175 more!

I just took taxi from LGB this August it was a 40.00 flat rate to DL and a 50 Flat rate from DL the hotel did give us a flyer to give to taxi driver.

I think ill do the taxi too.
