Taxi, car or disney bus from MK to SSR

What would be the time differences between taking a taxi, our car and the disney bus from MK to SSR

What would be the price of a taxi from MK to SS resort? I don't live where taxis are commonly used so what are taxi prices, per time or mile?

Can I call a taxi company up and ask them for the price?
I'm assuming you can get a taxi from just outside MK and not the TTC parking lot, where ppl have to park to get to MK.

How long would it take to get back from MK via taxi? Would anyone know the average time difference taxi vs. disney bus?

I'm also wondering price of taxi from TTC to SSR. Since we could take the monorail to TTC and get taxi from there. I don't think the monorail takes as long to show up compared to buses.

I've heard the parking lots for Disney are huge and with the time it takes to drive to a parking lot and walk, like the TTC and then take the monorail over, it would generally be about the same as taking the disney bus system.

So what's the fastest way and how much would the taxi cost?

You can not get a taxi outside of the MK, you can however get a bus and it will probably be your quickest option.

Mears is the cab company, if you search them out you can probably find them and their rates. I have never used them for the route your asking about but have used them several times and I have found $20.00 one way to be an average cost of getting from point A to point B in WDW.

While you can't get a taxi from the MK, you can get one at the Contemporary Resort, which is a 5-10 minute walk from the MK. Or you could take the Monorail to TTC and get one there, which would probably take about the same time.

Taxi meter rates are $2.20 for the first 1/4 mi., and $0.55 for each addl. 1/4 mi. You will also be charged for wait time, which I think includes time the cab is not moving while at red lights.

There are 5 bus stops at SSR. Bus travel time from MK to the Grandstand Station is about 15 minutes. It takes about 10 minutes more to get to the last stop, The Springs. Wait time for a bus to show up could be 0 to 20 minutes. So total time, depending on wait time and your destination stop, would be be between 15 and 45 minutes.

Transferring at Epcot definitely would take longer than a direct bus.
