Hi everyone,

We are not renting a car on our trip to WDW over New Years. I am debating whether our group should take the Mears Motorcoach, a cab or some other service to our resort. I know that it is approximately $28 round trip per person on Mears to get to WDW resorts. If anyone knows an estimate cost of taking a taxi cab from the airport to WDW, please post it here. We are not sure where we are staying as of yet, but let's just say in the Epcot Resort area or we may be staying in the Fort Wilderness Cabins. I know the epcot area and the MK area would be very different in prices.
Thanks,
Matt

If you have more than 3 in your group you may be better off with a car service. Tiffany Town Car is a good one. They are $85 round trip and there is a $5 off online coupon. I believe the town car can fit 5 passengers, but not sure on that. They also have vans. Do a search on Car services in Orlando, I'm sure you'll come up with a ton of places. Good luck!

We did Mears in 1999.
Did cab in 2000. The cost was about 45 each way.
Did Your Ride in 2001. Cost including tip round trip was 100.

This year doing Your Ride again. We're also taking advantage of their free 30 minute grocery stop which we figure will save $ and take the place of Disney breakfast and snacks.

I would not do cab again and it's worth a little extra to be in a clean vehicle that doesn't smell and have a nice person to talk to.

We usually use Happy Limo, but we did a taxi once on a trip that had a last minute change/extension. I don't remember the exact price, but I do know the towncar is definitely cheaper!

We have also used Tiffany Town Car with great success, but I prefer a rental car. We rented an economy car that seated four somewhat comfortably. The car was $109 for the week. I think it was a special from National. It seemed cheaper than the rest of the services we looked into at the time. We prefer to have the car in emergencies. My dd has asthma.

I had to take a cab to Celebration Health & they charged "an arm & a leg" to go there just from the hotel. (like 5 miles) I don't remember the cost exactly but I had $50 on me & barely made it home. After that experience, I wouldn't chance it again without a rental.
