We plan to take a taxi or shuttle from the port to the Turtle farm as soon as we are off the tender. We then have day passes at the Westin Resort. Will we be able to get a taxi or shuttle from the Turtle farm to the resort? Do they come frequently or will there be a wait. We have always used Disney excursions before so a bit unsure of how this will work. Thanks !

i am wondering the same thing? looks like Disney is not offering turtle farm this year, so looking at Taxi or bus options.

When we were there last month, we just grabbed a shuttle that was heading to the Turtle Farm. They were readily available. The driver then offered to come back to pick the group up. Everyone agreed to an hour so he was back in an hour. He then dropped some of us off at the beach (and the rest back to the port). The driver again offered to come back to the beach at an agreed time to pick us up.

awesome, so the shuttle is just at the port when you get off the cruise ship?

If there isn't one there I'm sure the front desk would call one for you. Or walk across the street to the dolphin place. When we were there last time we actually were able to catch a public bus which was super cheap compare to a taxi. May want to research that option too.

The "public bus" is actually a large shuttle van. It's 2.50 American dollars pp and we picked it up near the library. It's not a far walk. There's a kiosk and we told them where we wanted to go. It will pick up later calls along the way. It's pretty far out but interesting to see everyday life. Since it's a popular place, afterwards out front, someone will tell you where to stand to take back. There were various drop offs as not all were cruise passengers; some hotel guests. We were told by two different people that this is the most economical way.

We do this in Cayman. We hopped off the ship first thing and took the bus to the turtle farm. The bus depot is about a block and a half from port and anybody working the port will point you to it. We were the first ones there and finished as the tour groups were arriving.

We told them where we were going and they pointed us to the bus stop, but then one of the guys who had dropped off a tour said he'd take us for $2 each (we gave him $10-$15). Everybody was so nice.

When we were done at the Westin-the bellman whistled a bus across the street that swung around and took us to the port. It was super easy and much cheaper than taxis.

The Westin is super relaxing and having a room for your stuff and not having to haul towels is amazing. If you're an SPG member be sure to give them your number because you'll get your points and welcome reward.

Thx! I don't think anymore than 30 min. The "baby" turtle pool allows you to get in with them. That is included with the cheaper admittance fee. To snorkel with them and have access to the water park was extra. We splurged to snorkel and enjoyed it. All the times we've done it in open water never really got us close enough. This was a real treat.
FWIW, there is a restaurant but we made due with our Pringles and ate back on the ship. There's a town area before tendering back where you can connect to Wifi for free.
