Taxi at Riverside?

How difficult is it to get a taxi at POR? My husband and I will be enjoying an anniversary dinner at Jiko and we would prefer a taxi over the bus. Does anyone know how the taxi's work at POR?

for value and moderate resorts we have found that taxis just waiting are not all that plentiful... but you can do what we did... call the front desk and ask for the # to a taxi company (or use the yellow pages but that's hit/miss as far as the location of the taxi company as they may not really be nearby) and call the cab...

the nice thing about calling the cab company directly, especially in a resort as large as POR is that you can ask the taxi to come to the parking area near your room, rather than the main entrance (which depending on time of year/day, could save you from getting drowned or sweaty in your "night on the town" clothes!)

for your return, may i suggest that you take the bus from AKL to DTD and stroll a little before grabbing the boat back to POR? it would make a nice end to a lovely dinner/evening

We were at POFQ during Easter week and there were always taxi's waiting. We took a cab to Ohana and 1900 Park Fare and back to POFQ from the Boardwalk. If there isn't a cab waiting then bellservice will call one for you.
