My DW and I are cruising on the Magic in May on the Transatlantic cruise. We paid it off last week but I was curious on the breakdown of the taxes, fees and port expenses. I called DCL just to find out what the breakdown of this expense was and the castmember told me she could not tell me. I would imagine they have this all broken down for all of the cruises but they are unable or unwilling to give me the break down. It is not a great deal of money--the 15 night cruise is $143.18 for us both. I just feel they can tell you exactly what you are paying. I did see the explanation on the DCL website but curious what the exact figures are.

Those fees seem to fluctuate a surprising amount. We have gotten small refunds due to fees being lower than expected on two of our cruises and I have seen many reports of this happening. That being said, they should be able to tell you what the current fees/taxes are. However, the CMs answering the phones frequently seem to be uninformed.

It is laid out on every email I have received from DCL dealing with my cruise payments. Its own line: taxes and fees.
