Tax Rebate Checks and Disneyland

Hi,

IF it passes, every qualifing tax paying citizen will recieve a lovely check from uncle sam. How many of you will use said $$ to take a trip to DL? or WDW? I would LOVE to use the $$ for a much longed for trip to Disney WORLD, but alas it will probably go to bills or savings. (NOT the intention of the check however.) Anyone out there gonna spend your $$ on Disneyland? My sister in law who is going with me in September is going to but not me.

I just filed my taxes and am getting a lot of $$ back! I work for the IRS and was furloughed so much last year that I didn't make a whole lot, thanks to EIC I'm getting a dandy return, I plan to use part of it for a cruise or a trip to Disneyland late winter/early spring.

Of course! I'm using part of mine for our trip in May! WOO!

Though I do need to use the other part for bills and such..

We'll probably be spending some on bills and hopefully some for our DL trip in December. Don't have a date set yet though due to our DD starting Kindergarten this year.

We will be using our regular tax return to go to DL in early May. The "bonus" IRS money will be either used for something around the house (new deck, new floor, etc) or it will be used for a couple small summer road trips.

I doubt that I'd qualify, but I'm hoping that my parents save the money for a family trip to WDW (something that my mom is thinking about once they're done paying off college for my 2 brothers, my mom [who's going back for a degree in economics], and I). All of my family have been to Florida but never as a family and only my brothers and I have been to WDW, despite the fact that we've been to DL lots of times.

Hey, if my DFi and I get any money back at all (and we should, I intentionally pay in too much), every penny is going into our wedding and honeymoon... of which DL is a big part.

Here's hoping for that big check!

while i just got my email from IRS that they've accepted my return and I should have my vacation money in a week or so (look @ it as giving the government a free loan before i call it in lol)...

i'm still wondering if this is, in fact, a extra bonus check or more of a early refund like the last one was and the subsequent year-end refund for '08 will be less proportionally?

ME ME ME!!! We were SOOO bummed because finances were tight and we thought we had to cancel our Disney World trip for Nov but we are getting twice as much back on our taxes NOW then I thought AND if we get this money back this summer that caps it off!!! So I told my mom it looks like the trip is back on. I am glad she didn't cancel our time share yet. Now I have to get busy and book the rest of our rooms! We were going to go over Thanksgiving week and we are staying at Universal the first two days and on property the last two so I need 2 nights at Universal Florida and 2 nights at the All Star. I am SOOO excited. We have only been twice. Once in 02 and once in 05. We only get to go every 3 years or more because it is so expensive and there are 5 in our family and 6 if my mom goes with, which she usually does. And if we cancelled this year I had no idea WHEN we would go back because it was a bad year for us financially but this was like a miracle!!

We are going to have enough to pay off both our credit cards AND enough left over to pay for our trip in full!!!!

WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With this tax rebate check now hopefully I can talk DH into a trip to DL this christmas. Hoping, hoping, hoping!!!! Just depends on how cheap I can plan it. If we stay with his relatives and if we drive....hmmmmm

Rebate checks won't go out until May I believe.
Single person make less than $75000 and a couple less than $150,000 to get full amounts.

I know when I get my rebate I plan to use it for vacation. I love to stimulate the economy on vacation!

This maybe juggled a bit over the next weks or so. Until the prez signs whatever he has to sign, do not count on anything. Just remember these people cut deals and many folks are not happy..so we wait and see. Hope every spends every nickle when they get their checks..I doubt we will make the cut.

Well, I just got my regular refund deposited today, woohoo! That pays for our Feb trip and AP's. Plus some left over for savings. So, whatever money the rebate is we were planning on stimulating the economy by purchasing a new flat screen TV and components, however, we decided that the money is going to be spent on money that ends up in American's hands at the end of the day, somehow, so now we are going to really look at how we decide to "stimulate our economy".

well i know i for sure will get the lowest 300 but I could get more excpicaly if the seniet has there way and get ssi and disability added to it, and foodstamps. witch im betting by the next two weeks they will
Now on reguler taxs I will get 1000 just for my son and half is going towards a ps3 witch i had been saving up for but had to use money for bills. So my tax money i am useing it for that. But I amputting the rest away for oct and dec trips
the extra tax rebate i will use for trip and a screen for my dh's comp he has an old screen i have a new flat screen.
