Hello. I'm in a bit of a predicament :(

In April, I was accepted into the college program. At the time of my interview I had zero tattoos and answered accordingly when asked about them. Fast forward to the beginning of June - my father passed away. My siblings and I decided to get matching memorial tattoos. In my emotional state I made a really stupid decision. I forgot to think ahead and got it on my arm. (I have no idea why - this is going to give me trouble for every job I ever try to get :headache:). It's on the lower half of my forearm on the inside - and it's pretty big. Eventually I had the "oh crap" moment when I'd realized what I'd done, and now I'm stuck and not sure what to do. My role is QSFB so covering it with makeup isn't an option, and undershirts aren't supposed to extend past the sleeve of the costume so I can't just throw on some under armour and call it a day. Can anyone guide me to my next step? I *think* my first move is to call casting ASAP and inform them of my great new life choice (:sad2:) so that hopefully I can be placed somewhere where the costume has sleeves. Would that be the correct thing to do? Please don't lecture me about getting a giant tattoo on my arm, especially with something so important (the program) on the line. I feel very dumb about it as is :( Also - is there a possibility that Disney will just tell me "never mind" and I will lose my spot in the program?

Thanks in advance

First off, my condolences, I can only imagine what you're going through. Yes, you are correct that you should call Casting. They don't need the entire story, simply tell them you had some tattoo work done and you wanted to make sure you were put in a role where you can remain within the Disney Look guidelines. Just about every costume has "optional" pieces and winter wear alternatives. In addition, they also have full length under shirts you can check out. Depending on your role, some costumes' shirts come in either long or short sleeves. A simple test is If your new tattoo can be seen when wearing a full length t-shirt. If yes, can you cover it with make-up? Be prepared to cover it every day, tattoo makeup isn't cheap. When I was on my CP, some of my friends has full sleeves, they wore long sleeve shirts and put make up on their wrist every day. They said it was a pain, but they still got through it.

Your instinct it correct - call Casting.

I doubt they'll cancel your program, CPs get recast early in their programs for a variety of reasons. We recently acquired a CP because of a tattoo on her hand, she couldn't work in the original location she was assigned.

Thank you both for your quick and helpful replies <3 I called casting and was given an email address. I emailed them the situation and they asked for pictures - a close up so they could tell what it was and one further away so they could see a reference point on the body. Now I'm just anxiously awaiting their reply to that message.

Just out of curiosity, I came across this post and was just wondering what the turnout was? I'm in this situation at the moment and was just wondering what I should do?
