Tasty Planning Time with ZeBrook! A 2 for 1 PTR - 12/24 - All our bags are packed

I LOVE me some Famous Dave's though. Thankfully they sell the "Sweet & Sassy" sauce on the grocery store shelves around here. It is regularly stocked in our fridge. ::yes::
I have a HUGE jug of the stuff in my fridge right now! Whenever my inlaws come for a visit, they bring us a some. Tracy's sister brought us one of the big containers from Menards a couple of weeks ago. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM TASTY!

Hi,
I just found your PTR - I loved your last TR though - I lurked there a lot and I think I may have posted a few times. :goodvibes

Your hair looks so cute! I had my hair really short a few years ago and I loved it - it is so easy, but so stylish IMO. The curls make your hair even cuter in that style too.

I can't believe how big your Henry is getting - they grow up way too fast.

We love ZeFronk around here too, but I think Teach my Alligator some manners is actually my favorite - that tune is just so catchy.

I love the randomness!! Especially when we get pictures of that adorable little one of yours! I really do like the haricut, BTW. You wear it well, I could never wear my hair that short because it's very fine! I don't own a baggallini (:scared1:shocking, I know), but that one looks very functional for a place like WDW. I may have to look into one. All the goodies you bought look like they are perfect for both trips.:cutie:
The Baggalini's are really great, they fit so much stuff! Many sites have free shipping, so you can try it and see if it's right for you, which is very handy.

Thank you for the compliment on the hair! I hope the shorter style comes in handy in WARM weather down at WDW in September too!

Hi Brook,

LOVE all the shopping you've done, you got some great stuff!! Love the new shirts you picked up for yourself (it's a good thing that the closest Disney store is over 1/2 hour from here!), they are too cute! I especially like the Minnie one!:cutie: Henry's new things are too cute, too and I can't believe with how big he's gotten that the M.Mouse outfit still fits!! YAY!!:cool1: You're getting some good wear out of that, at least!;) He's really looking more and more like a boy these days, isn't he?!!!:sad2: Yay for a new park bag, too!! I have the black baggalinni from our last trip but had a hard time with it not sitting right on me....it was slipping and cutting my neck off my last trip...maybe I packed too much?! Anyways, LOVE all the space and compartments that thing has and how fun of a color you got...not to mention, very DIS like!!;) Great update! And yay for 40 days.....:cheer2:

Don't look at DisneyStore.com!!! Trust me! So many cute things and sales!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared:

I can't believe that outfit still fits him, but I love that it does! It's getting really close though where the shirt rides up just enough to see his belly. Maybe just one or two more wears out of it. I've already decided in my mind if we find another cute outfit while in WDW, I just might have to buy it. ;)

I've heard that about the Baggalini from a few different people - so you aren't alone in it tugging on your neck. I don't know if it just fits more comfortably on a certain body type, or what...:confused3

I can't believe we are at 40 days!! In just 10 days we can start the countdown calendar! :yay:

Love all the Disney stuff!

We went to the Mall of America a few years ago when I went on a college visit to the University of Minnesota. It was a lot of fun and a bit overwhelming!

It really is a bit overwhelming - even still to me now and I've been there countless times. Did you do any of the rides or anything fun while there, or did you just try to take it all in?

Oooooh ya! Those inlaws are good to you Biscuit!

Hello! Thanks for joining in here!!!!! :dance3:

And thank you for the kind words on the hair! It is really easy...and I actually (usually) like how my curl enhances parts of it, so far its a keeper style for a while!

I love the Alligator too, and find myself singing it all day if we catch it in the morning! :rotfl: Lately we have been seeing Agent Oso, so that song gets stuck in my head, and I DON'T like it! But, Henry loves his motorcycle, so we watch. :goodvibes

Checking in to see what sweet little Henry has been up to while I have been gone. It was nice to see the shopping pictures. :) He's so cute in his little hat, and I love the hair getting longer.

MeMom you are all over these boards tonight! :goodvibes I hope you have a wonderful trip! I look forward to the TR!

And thank you for the comment on Henry - I'm debating on letting his hair grow out more and get it cut again at the Main Street Barber Shop, or to cut it before we go...

Hey, that's my bag!! :rotfl:

I really loved it... used it on 3 Disney trips... would still be using it, except the cross-the-body strap kept knocking pins off my lanyard!!

Brave woman to tackle the mall with a boot and a busy boy!!

Kathy

Hey Brook! I've finally gotten my booty over here! And wow - I've got alot to catch up on.

Just want to let you know I'm subbing - better late than never!:thumbsup2

Every time you post pictures of Henry he looks like more of a big boy, he's such a cutie! I love all your purchases too, that baggelini looks great!

I really like the Baggalini too - it's so handy! I hope your new bag works out just as well for you!

The mall truly was an ordeal. I've been laying low since then - I don't think I'll be tackling the Mall of America in a boot EVER again! And running up a grassy hill while chase a certain little boy isn't the easiest feat either, but, that is one I can't easily get away from being he loves to be outside! :goodvibes

Hey Cammie! Good to see you!

I know it! He's growing up SO fast. I still can't believe he's going to be 2 so soon.

WE ARE IN THE 30'S PEOPLE!

woot!

39 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!
:woohoo:
9 days until we start the countdown!

:yay:

Your pack-mule comment gave me a GREAT visual. :lmao: I imagined you with a giant backpack, pushing a triple wide stroller that was full of stuff under and poking out of every side....! I'm sure it felt that way!!!

OMG! That's soooooo me!

Congrats on 30 days!! You must be so excited!! Im jealous!

WOOT...can't wait for your countdown...that is so much fun!!!!!!

Congratulations on the 39 days! That's 136 days less than us - and considering that you will have been to WDW twice before we get to go, I am envious!! :goodvibes

I really love the updates with new Henry pictures! He is soo cute!

I'm debating on letting his hair grow out more and get it cut again at the Main Street Barber Shop, or to cut it before we go...

I love this idea! I think it would make a nice family tradition! :thumbsup2

Brook-you should so get Henry's haircut at the barbershop...great photo/ops and memories (I would have loved to get David's haircut there but the first time he was only 6 months and he didn't have enough hair yet...:confused3 and he needed a haircut before we were back...) DO IT!:goodvibes

The Mall of America-wow-that seems like a place you can really get in trouble-$$$-DD would love it...(Henry looks like he may be a future Lego guy...;)

Children's clothes really to add up and they grow through them-I sometimes buy up a size (for D) especially in the summer so he walks around with a little bit of a "surfer" kind of look-but it works on a little guy...;)

? about your bagganlini-does that fold up at all-the reason I'm asking is I have a large structured tote that I want to take on the plane-but if I could fold it up I could take it in the park...(i need something that can get smaller to back...)

Congrats for reaching the 30s!!!!:cheer2: )We're in the 20s but I'm in denial...

It really is a bit overwhelming - even still to me now and I've been there countless times. Did you do any of the rides or anything fun while there, or did you just try to take it all in?

Yeah, we went in 2002 when they had the Camp Snoopy stuff there. I think we did a couple rides including one sort of like Buzz Lightyear. It was fun!

My cousin went to UM and I think she worked at the mall too.

OMG! That's soooooo me!

Congrats on 30 days!! You must be so excited!! Im jealous!

:lmao: Taking kids anywhere feels quite pack-mule-esque, doesn't it?

I am VERY excited about finally being in the 30s. Today marks 38!

WOOT...can't wait for your countdown...that is so much fun!!!!!!

It always feels so good to get into that last 30 days and have a real countdown. I have the countdown all ready, but I need to hit the Dollar Store (again!) for some stickers....

Hurray for the 30s!!! That's so awesome!!! party: party: party:

Thanks CP! I'm thrilled to reach them! Soon I'll be able to say 20s and shortly after start playing the "In two weeks..." game! :yay:

:thumbsup2 I am one that tends to be more on the sedate side..........;)

Right. Uh-huh. Sedate. That's it.

Congratulations on the 39 days! That's 136 days less than us - and considering that you will have been to WDW twice before we get to go, I am envious!! :goodvibes

The Barber Shop did such a great job with him last time, it was such a special moment and I think a lot of fun for him with the stickers, bubbles and toys they have. When he's a bit older I hope he and Joe can go together and get colored hair gel and a spiked 'do (the "Cool Dude" package from BBB, but it's cheaper at the Barber Shop!).

We loved the time we had with Henry for hist first haircut there! They do a really nice job. I think you guys have me convinced to let it grow out before the trip...maybe we could even squeeze that in on our first day. Hmmm....I sense a The Plan 1.3 coming up!

The Mall of America can be very dangerous, and I imagine it IS to those who come from out of state. Every cuisine, every shop just waiting for you!

The Baggalini doesn't really fold up, but you can easily fold it in half to help save space. That would be a great feature though-if it could be one of those that zipped inside of itself! When folded in half it really isn't all that small still, and then long strap that goes across your body is still there-you can kinda wrap it around the bag part though. If that makes any sense/helps you! ;)

Why are you denial about the 20s? Still a lot to get done?

Yeah, we went in 2002 when they had the Camp Snoopy stuff there. I think we did a couple rides including one sort of like Buzz Lightyear. It was fun!

My cousin went to UM and I think she worked at the mall too.

I am amazed at how much it has changed over recent years. They have added SO many rides-lots of thrill ones even!! We will be doing Henry's birthday party there, so I'll hopefully have NO BOOT and take some time to enjoy them!

I've been list making. In almost any spare moment, on any random scrap of paper I might have at my disposal. I guarantee you, something trip related has been written on it! Eats, packing, touring, souvies, or rides.

Today I bring to you our Ride List. The "MUST RIDE" are ones that I would be highly disappointed if we missed.

The "WOULD LIKE TO" are ones I really want to do, but would only be slightly bummed. The list here is extensive. We most likely won't get to all of them, and that's okay.

The "IF THERE IS TIME" are things we like, but aren't top priority, if they work into the plan, great, if not, all well.

And the "SHOPPING" is quite obvious... I'm sure we'll hit up more than what is on these lists though, it's a default activity with a sleeping child, or while utilizing a Baby Swap Pass.

So, without further ado...The Rides!

MUST RIDE - AK

  • EE
  • Boneyard - Henry LOVES this playground and I can see why, it's really cool!

WOULD LIKE TO - AK

  • Safari
  • Animal trails - we've never done them
  • Discovery Island trails - around the Tree of Life, very pretty
  • FOTLK - This is almost a "MUST RIDE" for me, I've been wanting to catch it for the past 2 trips and have missed it!
  • Nemo
  • Dinosaur
  • Triceratops Spin
  • Conservation Station - requires a train ride to get to, big deal for my little boy!
  • Affection Section - basically a petting zoo - Henry will love this!

IF THERE IS TIME - AK

  • Primeval Whirl - I kinda like this ride!
  • Flights of Wonder - I have never even read a review of it, has anyone ever gone? What did you think?

MUST RIDE - DHS

  • Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Playground - this is such a cool playground!
  • Playhouse Disney Live!
  • Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
  • Toy Story Midway Mania

WOULD LIKE TO - DHS

  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Great Movie Ride
  • One Man's Dream
  • Star Tours
  • Studios Backlot Tour - I hear "eh" reviews, but we've never done it, so we want to try
  • Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - I like the dropping part, but the rest is totally creepy!
  • Voyage of the Little Mermaid

IF THERE IS TIME - DHS

  • Lights, Motors, Action - I know Henry would like the cars, I'm just a bit concerned he might get scared from the crashing and fire...
  • Muppet Vision 3D - Joe and I both really like this show; however, Henry did NOT last time, he was screaming the entireeeeeeee show. So, we'll probably try a 3D show toward the beginning of the trip and if he reacts the same, we'll skip the rest!

  • It's a Small World - One of Henry's favorites (and I love it because it's classic and Mary Blair)
  • Jungle Cruise - possibly after dark for a different experience, we'll see
  • Liberty Square Riverboat - Henry has a book with boats in it. One is a Riverboat that looks JUST like the Liberty Belle. So, I told him one of these were at Mickey's House, and he makes sure to remind me every.single.time we read the book, so it's a must do! :goodvibes Plus, we've never been on it!

  • TTA - I think it will be reopen by this time...not entirely sure?

It's a pipe dream to get to everything, but we'll try!!!!!! :goodvibes

hey Brooke, I'm loving your PTR as much as your TR. I'm so inspired by how you guys just take it easy, and go with the flow. I'm determined to do just that on our upcoming trip in Oct. It will be the first "going on rides" trip for our toddler. In fact i'm so gald you posted a must do list, I've gotten a lot of ideas for park touring from it.

You asked for opinions on Flights of Wonder in AK. It is a must do for my husband every trip. The show is really cute, and they bring out lots of cool birds that do tricks or little conditioned behaviors they've worked into the script. If Henry likes birds and/or animal shows I think he'll like it. I'm pretty sure mine will like it, if not his dad will be crushed.
