Tasty Planning Time with ZeBrook! A 2 for 1 PTR - 12/24 - All our bags are packed

I think you have a great plan for the ECV and your foot! I hope everything goes well with that! :goodvibes

Love all the fun pictures!!! Before you know it, you will be having your Itzakadoozie!!! :goodvibes

It sounds like you have a good plan. I agree that the extra cost of getting one at the parks is worth not having to run it off and on buses and having it take up space in the room. That's what I was going to do if it came down to it, too. I wish you didn't have to have it at all, but I surely know what it is like walking around in pain, and that's no good. From what the doctor told me yesterday, with surgery on the 9th, I should be relatively pain-free by our October trip, and that makes it more exciting than ever!

Henry is a pro. He hears Disney World and he knows that means big time fun! :woohoo: I know you guys are going to have an awesome time, and it will make my days happier just knowing that someone I know is down there enjoying it all.

You may have said this already and I missed it, but are you able to Twitter? It's always fun to follow people like Nicole and others who give us pictures along the way.

The pictures were a wonderful bit of happiness this morning after cleaning out my refrigerator. A little dose of fun and fantasy after a big dose of reality!

Morning Brook!

I stopped by to say YAY FOR 4 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:jumping1::jumping1:

I didn't realize that you had posted a post, so now I can respond to that...I completely "get" your thoughts on worrying about the ECV (or ECV?) on and off the bus and dealing with it in your room. That is my thoughts with Mom's wheelchair, too, we're just renting it in the parks, too. You'll get there in PLENTY of time in the a.m. and it might save you some money in the long run since you may not need it as much. I hope everything works out well there for you and the magic of Disney will help things!!:wizard:

Love all the pics you posted, you got some GREAT ones! Thanks for bringing me to my happy place this stormy Saturday a.m here in MA. :cloud9:

If for some reason, I don't catch up with you in the next couple of days (between crazy weekend plans and my kiddos starting school!), I hope you have a WONDERFUL trip, a safe trip and I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!!! Enjoy!!!!:wizard:

Thanks for the pictures, Brook:thumbsup2
Since we have no future trip planned right now:sad1: it was so nice to see your lovely pictures.
Thanks for the good wishes for my dd's feet:thumbsup2
My mom only rented her ECV from the parks as you are doing. I cant even imagine her trying to get one of those things on a bus after the FOTLK incident:rolleyes1
Have fun!!

Brook---soo totally jealous you are leaving for WDW but that just means my own trip is getting closer!! Take lots of pictures and I hope Henry will love seeing dut dut again!! I will look forward to your two trip reports to tide me over until my trip!! LOL! Have a great time!!

Good call with the ECV! I would be a nervous wreck trying to maneuver one of those things on a bus too, so I totally get where your coming from with that.

Thanks for all the pictures - can't wait to see more when you get back!!

That picture of Jenry with Donald's adorable!!! Good luck with the ECV (it'll all work out fine) and have a great trip!!! I just saw this morning that the MK's already decorated for Halloween. I can't imagine being down there when it's 80-degrees out and celebrating Halloween  I love the fall but this is too early!!

Stumbled on this on Disneystore.com. You need to get this for Henry when you are in the parks! They are squeeze toys; great for the tub or pool!

Your pics are really wonderful. I always admire your photographic skills, you truly have an exe for great pcitures!! :goodvibes

I think your decision on the ECV sounds good. I was actually thinking about suggesting just what you are plannning now, but did not want to bother you with even another alternative and also thought you might want it for moving around CSR. I agree with a PP that it would be worth it that you change your room request and have noted that it is due to a medical need!! :thumbsup2

Hey Brook-I haven't posted in a while. So sorry your foot is not back to 100%!! Sounds like you have a great plan though. I cannot believe you are so close!! The dessert party sounds great & I cannot wait to hear all about it. Have a wonderful time & I will be thinking about you & all the fun you will be having.

Whew! Busy weekend around here....but I have very good news...my foot is doing GREAT! I woke up on Saturday morning with zero pain and NO swelling. I couldn't believe it. Just days ago I literally was hobbling the moment I got out of bed! Even on my "good foot week", I still had minor swelling. This is awesome!

So a huge, huge thank you for your thoughts and prayers. They WORK!:yay::yay::yay:

I am still going to be on the cautious side though and allow my plans to cater to the Boot and ECV. Time will only tell if it will be needed!

Brooke,
I would really think about what is important to be close to at CSR before your trip...and perhaps change your request to match that. I think you will be fine on the buses no matter where you are, but if you want to be by the main building... make a request and have perhaps call and explain your situation. You get in sooooo late, you need to have the "perfect" room waiting!

I requested the Cabanas building that is near the pool/playground and bus stop, I think 9B? It's a bit more of a haul to El Centro, but I figured we'll be hitting the bus stop most often. That is a good idea to call about my situation though, then we are most likely to get it.

What a fab pic of DeVine! I am hoping my parents will be able to see her when we go.

Thanks! It was really neat to see her. We just missed her one time, and her handler said to come back at a certain time for another showing, so we made a point of it - she has a little area she walks around in now, it would be nice if they would put her on the regular park schedule too!

Brooke, I have actually toured the world in a boot twice. Once I used an ECV and once I did not. I say go for the ECV! By the way when I flew with the boot on, security did not make me take it off but they did test it for gunpowder residue.:)

Oh wow, twice! I cannot even imagine how exhausted you would be without and ECV! :faint: I get tired just walking around a store!

What gorgeous pictures Brook!! I really like the one of the Spectro with the castle in the background!!!

I think renting at the parks is a great idea and will allow you more of the freedom and probably make you more comfortable!!!

Oh my precious french toast loaf how I miss thee....I wish they would bring that back it was heaven on a plate!!

YAY for getting into the Wishes Dessert Party...you guys are going to love it!!!!! I also can't wait for your review of it before I go LOL

Thanks! That is one of my favorite pictures from Spectro because it's Cinderella's carriage and it looks like they are headed up to her castle. :goodvibes It was so, so pretty!

I miss the French Toast Loaf too! It's so sad that they retired it!!!!! I don't understand why they would if it was as popular as it seems. :confused3

I'll be sure to bring back a full review and pictures of the Dessert Party!

I think it is a great idea that you are going to rent from the park when needed! I couldn't imagine trying to maneuver that thing onto and off of the bus!! Good call ;).

Did you take all of those pictures? They are gorgeous!! Really looking forward to your TR!!

I know it, the whole bus thing just worried me way too much. It would have been an ordeal!

Yep! We (Joe or I) took all those pics! We are both into photography a bit and have a different eye for it, which makes for a great assortment of pictures. Plus we take a LOT, like 3,000 per trip. :rolleyes1 And our camera is a nice one-it does all the hard work! Thank you for the compliment! Hopefully we can snag some good ones this trip too!

Eek! Just a few days away for you!! How cool!!! And Henry's response - adorable!! :goodvibes

Your ECV plan sounds like a good one - the whole getting it on/off the bus would freak me out!! Nice to know that you won't have to worry about it (plus, having Joe has your personal chauffeur for around the resort - BONUS!)

Love all your pictures. And you asked about Stacy. She's still there, but in a very, very, very tamed down version. (the new version isn't even on You Tube! Must say something about it!) I should know... Noah wanted to watch her show over and over and over - it put him to sleep so I guess it's an okay thing!! "Have fun doin'" She wasn't as perky, which was an okay thing in my book!

Have a great time at the dessert party - we loved it! A much more peaceful way to wait for the Fireworks to start!

That is so funny about Noah watching Stacy and falling asleep to her! :lmao: I wasn't a huge fan of Super Perky Stacy; however, just seeing her crazy self made me realize "we are in Disney World" and we watched her every single morning! Maybe now we'll watch her at night...;)

We are looking forward to that "peaceful way to wait" thing. Corralling a toddler to sit on a curb, NOT an easy task!

Beautiful Castle picture you posted. Can I borrow it?????? :rotfl:I am doing a photobook on shutterfly and I can't find one castle picture that I really, really like.

So sorry your foot is still bothering you. My DS15 had a boot on during a visit to King's dominion. He did fine, but then again, he is a kid! I think your plan to rent the ECV at the park is a good idea. I know I could never drive one of those things on and off the bus. It would be so comical some bored bus rider would probably video tape me crashing into things and I would end up on youtube! It would not be pretty!

Leaving in less than a week.....That is so exciting! :thumbsup2 Have a wonderful, magical trip!

Yep! Feel free to go ahead and take the Castle pic - let me know if you need a larger file size so it doesn't get grainy on ya. I can email one to you. I love those photobooks-that's my kinda scrapbooking! :rotfl2:

You made me laugh out loud with the YouTube comment! :lmao: Oh too funny! But yes, EXACTLY! what I think would happen for me too. It would be a site to see!

I think you have a great plan for the ECV and your foot! I hope everything goes well with that! :goodvibes

Love all the fun pictures!!! Before you know it, you will be having your Itzakadoozie!!! :goodvibes

Thanks CP!

Ohhhhh, Itzakadoozie. Mickey Bar. Mickey Rice Krispy. Sweet Almond Pretzel. Corn Dog Nuggets. How I miss thee!

It sounds like you have a good plan. I agree that the extra cost of getting one at the parks is worth not having to run it off and on buses and having it take up space in the room. I'm so glad to read the doctor things you'll be set for your October trip!! I tried to find on your TR where you explained the stuff about surgery and things, but I must have missed it between the chit chat - so thank you for posting it here. I will keep you in my prayers especially on that day.

I don't have a Twitter account - that is a good idea though. Our cell phones are very NOT fancy, I wonder though if it's just like sending a text message? We don't have that on our plan, but it's only 10 cents to send, so a small price to pay to share the World with you all!

I had to browse slowly through those pictures again too, I had my dose of reality yesterday in cleaning the house. It's still not done, but much closer. Packing is another story.

It's so much easier to not think about the bus + ECV/wheelchair thing. I've seen so many people struggle to get theirs on the bus, and then complain that they had to wait soooo long for the right bus. Plus, with my foot feeling better, I am hoping we can skip it all together for at least a few of the days! :thumbsup2

Thank you for the well wishes on the trip! I can't believe Henry turns TWO tomorrow and the next day we leave for Disney World!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3:

Thanks for the pictures, Brook:thumbsup2
Since we have no future trip planned right now:sad1: it was so nice to see your lovely pictures.

Have fun!!

Glad to brighten your day with the pics...hopefully I'll be bringing lots more back with me that will also help tide you through until the next trip! :goodvibes

Hopefully if I'm in an ECV I don't run into too many things...or any people! I'm very happy to be avoiding the bus completely with it!

Brook---soo totally jealous you are leaving for WDW but that just means my own trip is getting closer!! Take lots of pictures and I hope Henry will love seeing dut dut again!! I will look forward to your two trip reports to tide me over until my trip!! LOL! Have a great time!!

Your trip really is getting here quickly! You started your ticker at like 10 months didn't you? Where did our summer go! Henry is excited about dining with Tigger, seeing Mickey, Dut Dut, GOOFY, and of course, Lightning McQueen! :goodvibes

Good call with the ECV! I would be a nervous wreck trying to maneuver one of those things on a bus too, so I totally get where your coming from with that.

Thanks for all the pictures - can't wait to see more when you get back!!

Taking the bus out of the equation just makes it seem so much easier and simpler. It kinda irks me to pay more for less time, but the extra money is worth the less hassle I think!

Thank you! He was giving "Dut Dut" lots of good-bye hugs that morning. It was very sweet!

I cannot imagine it being Halloween yet either - though the temps we are having in MN are very much "late September/early October" temps versus August. :headache:

Stumbled on this on Disneystore.com. You need to get this for Henry when you are in the parks! They are squeeze toys; great for the tub or pool!

400128280580

Oh.my.goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES! I will be keeping my eye out for it. PERFECT bath toys! He's always wanting to bring his McQueen (and Mack) into the tub, and now we can say YES. Thank you!!!

Your pics are really wonderful. I always admire your photographic skills, you truly have an exe for great pcitures!! :goodvibes

I agree with a PP that it would be worth it that you change your room request and have noted that it is due to a medical need!! :thumbsup2

Thank you! :goodvibes And we love taking the bazillion pictures we do - that camera hardly gets put away! This trip we also hope to do more video.

I really think that's a great idea on the room request thing. I requested a building that I think will work out great for us - with or without the boot. It's close to the pool and playground and bus stop. A further walk to the main building, but I know we'll be hitting the bus stop the most.

I can't believe we are so close either! These past two weeks have been busy around here, so they have FLOWN by, I've barely been on the DIS at all. I was really hoping to catch up before we left, but who knows if it will happen! Thank you for the well wishes on the trip!!!

Awww Brook! I literally have chills after reading that your foot was feeling SO MUCH better!!!! WOW, how wonderful!! Take things slow on vacation and I hope it continues!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your little man, Henry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wizard: WOW, 2!!!! I hope he has a wonderful day and that you give him extra hugs from your friends from DIS, i'll be thinking of him!!!

AND last but not least, HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP TO DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Safe travels, have a blast and I can't wait to hear all about it!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

:cool1: Holy pixie dust Mickey Mouse! I'm so glad your foot is feeling so much better!!

I think your plan for the ECV and boot looks fabulous! I think I would do the same! I totally understand not wanting to have to navigate on and off the buses and wait for the right bus! It just seems like a hassle!

I wonder if you can get special bordering for the plane trip with the boot! They let people in wheelchairs on first. I'm thinking that, if you could and would do it, it would give you guys that much more time to get situated and get Henry settled! Just a thought!

You have to take tons of pictures of the Wishes Dessert Party for me! It mat have worked it's way into our trip in Oct some how ;) but I'll be posting that in an update today!

I'm sure your freaking out with excitement at this point!!! Good luck with all the last minute details!

Your picture of "Devine" is...well.....devine! LOL! I love it! Did you stay at Pop on a past trip. Thats my favorite (and only onsite place I've stayed!)

Glad your foot is feeling better! Almost time for Disney World!! :cool1:

And seeing this little guy's happy face and eyes lite up with wonder is what I most look forward to:

:cloud9:

I'm finally here & all caught up, Brook!
Hope the preparations and packing is going well, I'm so excited for you & Henry. (Joe, too, LOL!) Looking forward to hearing how it all goes. Hopefully all that Disney magic will transfer to your foot!

Good luck to you!

P.s. Happy Birthday to Henry tomorrow! :wizard:

I think you made the right call on the scooter/ECV whatever it's called.

I still love that Spectromagic picture with the Castle in the background. Where were you sitting again to get that??
