Brooke taking care of you is impt! Good decision on the
ECV for you all. Cannot wait to hear about the party! You are so close!
I cannot believe how close we are. I told Henry tonight, "We get to see Mickey in FIVE DAYS!" and he went "Oooooh!" and did a little hop. He pretty much summed it up!
I'm really enjoying reading along with your PTR. I hope your foot is feeling better soon!
The other day I picked up a pair of the same Teva flip flops that you got. I was looking to try a new brand and remembered your photo of them a few months ago. Love them! So comfy!
Thanks for reading! I'm glad you have been enjoying it!
So glad to hear you like the Mushies! I really like them too - they are so soft and comfy, a perfect fit in the rotation of park shoes.
I can't believe I haven't mentioned this already...last year in October I went to the parks for a few days and a couple weeks before I left I fell down the stairs and twisted my ankle. Before leaving the swelling was pretty minimal and everything had gone back down to normal. I threw my support in "just in case." A few hours into the first day and the swelling was going up, glad I threw it in. So even if you're doing fine at home, the extra walking at Disney really takes a toll. My friend had to keep telling me to sit when I could because she wasn't going to push me around! So it really is better to be prepared for it.
I read on the disAbilities board last night that the average person does 3-6 miles of walking a day in Disney World, and I totally believe it! Plus all that standing while waiting can be a killer. I think you have convinced me to wear my big boot down on the plane and throw the little guy into the luggage. Then I'm set for either way.

OMG! Too funny! I love them all!! But, I have to agree with Brook, It's a Great Big Bootiful Tomorrow is my fav!!!!
Brook, I'm so, so sorry! Your right though, you need to take care!! God forbid you make it worse! Not to mention how unhappy you'll be if you have to limit yourself on the trip! With the
ECV you'll be much more able to go, go, go!
Congrats on the desert party!!! It sounds like a lot of fun! We did the Illuminations dinner and desert party last year and it was great! I hope you have a blast!! Just so you know, my coffee sister, they may have good coffee too!!!! They did at the Illuminations party! I know at 9 pm you may not want a cup of coffee thats going to keep you awake in an hour or 2 when your trying to sleep but they're small cups and it was good!!!
OH GOODNESS YES I WANT COFFEE AT 9 PM!

At home, no way, but at Disney, count me in!!!

Espeically to go with little creme brulee and chocolate covered strawberries...

If it's the good coffee I'll so be sneaking my mug under that tap...
I'll have a foot/ECV update below!
Glad to hear you've decided to do the ECV. While it is a bummer, it will work out best for everyone I am sure.
I cannot wait to see/hear about the dessert party. I bet it will be AWESOME!
Joe cannot stop talking about the dessert party. Today he said while at work he was dreaming of watching the fireworks while nibbling on dessert.
I bet Henry would love riding Barnstormer since he seems to like those thrill rides!
I hope so!!
We just took Belle to the Dr. yesterday and she is two inches past the height requirement, so I'm sure Henry will be just fine.
When I worked at B&B show, there were a few spots for wheelchairs & ECV's down in the front. At Fantasmic there were only spots in the back, though. That's all I know about that.
I think Henry will be just about right with the height requirement of 35" - perhaps just above. We will take him to his 2 year appointment after we get back.
Oh, you have a story about Fantasmic and the wheelchair/
ECVs don't you???!
Im sorry to hear that your foot is still giving you trouble. I feel for you. My oldest dd had foot surgery on May 15th and then again on the other foot June 15th. We were hoping she would be all healed up and running around by Aug 15th as she had to be back to college (translation for feet- lots of walking). She is still having lots of swelling on her second foot and cant get shoes on! She is wearing these tacky velcro sandels that we bought when we were at Hilton Head last month. The feet take so long to heal, so good thing you are getting an EVC. All that walking would only aggravate them.
Heres hoping that it will be a smooth trip for you! And practicing on the EVC is a great idea. My mom had to be on one a few years back because she sliced her foot open a few days before we left for our trip! She had never used one and when she was backing the thing into a spot at FOTLK she kept ramming the bleachers. They make a horrible vibrating sound when that happens- just so you'll know, ha ha!!
Have a great trip!! You are so close!!
Oh goodness, that's right! I forgot about your daughter's foot surgeries. I seriously just cannot even fathom being down on BOTH feet. That poor girl. I hope she heals up soon and the pain goes away completely for her!
I am SURE I'll run into a few things riding along on one of those.

It will make good TR fodder, right?! I love how they beep when they back up too. Makes me always feel like a parade float or something. Did your Mom use one on the buses, or just in the parks?
