About how long do tastings last? If we booked an 8pm one, could we make an 845 theater show?

The tastings are different lengths of time. On the website and in the app each tasting lists its duration. The shortest is 30 mins and the longest is 1 hour.

I don't recall if I've seen from the other threads, but can anyone confirm if they are still holding back tastings for booking once on board, or are they only doing tastings pre-registered before the cruises now? And if some tastings are available for booking once on the ship, what is the procedure for booking them now? We have always gone to guest services to see what new tastings were available once on board, but it doesn't seem like it would work that way now. Thank you if anyone knows!

We always go to Guest Services when we get onboard to see what tastings aren't full yet. We've generally always booked at least one more based on what's available. Got into a Chocolate and Liquor tasting that way! (Book that one!)

We were on the September 3rd sailing of the Dream. We had pre-booked the mojito for one person and couldn't get one more reservation. The pre-bookings closed a couple of days before the cruise. We opened the app once on board and was able to book directly in the app. No need to visit guest services. If you can't book through the app, you can message guest services directly through the app. They are very responsive and helpful.

There were MANY tastings available on the app once you boarded. In fact, I kept looking throughout the cruise and even on the last day there was availability.

We have booked many tastings over 10 cruises and they generally last one hour. The show may start at 8:45 but the line forms 15-20 minutes before the showing in order to get a good seat (especially 2 seats together). If it is a whiskey or cognac tasting in the evening, they last much longer.

I just booked mixology for sea day last week for November cruise. There were lots to choose from even after the 75 day check ins.

Actually, these days the lines form long before that. If you show up at 8:45 I can guarantee you will not get a seat.
