Day 8
Another easy day today we went to Seaworld to finish the bits that we missed last time. Did the usual stuff, Stingray Lagoon, Manatees (which I still point out to DH if a thing that size can float on water why can't he). Went to watch Pets Ahoy, which has a wonderful new addition, yes the light up toys you can buy before the show now play the crazy frog tune. Five minutes in and DH was about to grab the toy off the kid behind and launch it through the guest house window on stage.
Went to watch the Clyde and Seamour show
. We have seen this show numerous times but we still like to get there early to watch the mime artist. Very funny.
In the afternoon we decided to go to the AMC theatre, we watched "Deck the Halls" with Danny De Vito and Matthew Broderick, we are still trying to feel festive, this 80 degree heat doesn't help. Two adults and one child came to $20 ( A Bargain compared to home and far more comfortable seats) The film was hilarious. before it was of to the Hotel for Pizza Hut.
Day 9
A change for breakfast today and went to McDonalds before doing a tour of some of the Disney hotels to look at the decorations. Did the ones attached to the monorail along with the Boardwalk.
At the GF we were in time to see the lady decorating the gingerbread houses.
These were fantastic if a bit pricy at $65
The full size gingerbread house is very impressive along with the amount of time that went into making it, the gingerbread mixture for it was made in April and the parts are cut out in June and July.
Also did the Poly and CR but there wasn't much to see.
Then it was off to the Boardwalk we had cookies and juice in the lobby before looking at their Christmas House, once again another masterpiece.
After that I suggested a Surrey Bike ride, we went round twice in our allotted time but you need to save some energy for the last hill over the bridge near the Dolphin, its a killer. When we came home and looked at the photos DD was busy taking pictures , she spent the whole time on the back seat saying she was pedalling
!
We had an ADR at the WCC for 6.10, another new restaurant for us. Couldnt resist trying this one after reading so many stories on the boards and we werent disappointed. What a laugh
Just as we were being seated the kids were riding their hobbie horses around the restaurant before making their pledge not to go to Seaworld, Universal,Holyland or any other non-disney park. Some of the waiters are not as rowdy as others but everyone gets involved.
This is not a place for a romantic meal. What a laugh when someone needs ketchup. DH had had two diet cokes so the next time the waiter fetched a big one.
Food was really nice. We had the all-you-can-eat skillet and chicken with pasta, but no desserts, don't know how we are going to manage on the DP later this year.
Good weather again it did rain in the evening, but who cares when your sat inside such a fun place.
