DH - Karl
DD - Tasha 14

We get up early this morning as we want to get to DTD to drop off the bags before we head over to the 192 Flea Market (Or Fleapit as DH calls it)

We get to DTD and theres only three families in the queue before us but it still takes over an hour to check-in apparently they are trying to cancel one Gatwick Flight and combine both onto one flight. We are off to Manchester but we still get stuck (We found out after we left they made a seperate queue for Manchester flight which speeded things up) drop the bags and then its off to the Fleapit.

We go here every year so DD can get Cornrows put in her hair and every year it still only costs $35. :thumbsup2

The woman does a great job, nice and tight so they should last DD a few weeks at home. We then can't decide what to do next, in the past we have done a Park or Crazy Golf but its just not the same as you know you are going home :sad1: (If they could make a machine to transfer you directly home on the last day I would pay to use it) so we head to the Airport, its only 5 hours till we fly home, but at least MCO has plenty to do. We grab a bite to eat, find a set of comfy chairs have a snooze, do a bit of window shopping before we make our way to the gate. As we wait watching all the kids with their new DSlite's we spot Alan from NYE in Epcot and catchup on what they did when we left.

So the flight home, as usual we end up in a section of seats in which the entertainment doesn't work (third time for us), but it also means the overhead light doesn't work so we have one choice sleep. At least the Stewardess had the sense to start serving the food at our section first because if as on the flight out they had got to us and told us there was no choice left on the meals I think a riot would have broken out. We are given a compensation form per family (we have filled it out and sent it in to get Airmiles from the flying club and they have only credited 5000 miles to myself not DD or DH):furious: the Stewardess said we only need one form per family. Still trying to resolve this.

We land at Manchester and for the first time in ages we actually get a gate, so no coach trip for us :cool1: and hit a queue . Yes UK immigration has only three people working and theres 3 Jumbos and two other flights come in at once, so we spend 30 minutes waiting to get back into our own country, we finally get through and its quickly off to collect the bags. Now for the moment of dread walking through customs :worried: will we get stopped with all this stuff, DH has removed Ipod from box , we've cut labels out of all new clothes in case we get stopped.:worried:

But know we approach the three custom Woman stood by the doors to hear one say to the rest "Can't be bothered with this today" so everyone strolls through, its good to be home. My Mum and Dads are there to meet us, with the good news :wizard:

Yes they have decorated our front room whilst we were away (DH is made up as he doesn't have to do anything:banana: ) so we land at 7.30 and at 9.00 we are home to a nice fresh new room only for DD to rush upstairs to change into her school uniform, she must have missed her mates.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has read our reports and took time to comment:grouphug: ,

Its our first time doing them after 10 years of going to Florida, so we are looking forward to August when we do another first, we are on the DDP :thumbsup2 , although DD still says were are sad for doing the reports and won't talk to us if we start taking photos of food.:rotfl2:
