Christmas Day
Up at 5.30am with a phone call from my mum and dad back home. All the gang were there waiting for their dinner all 19 of them, its the first year we have missed.
Off to MK for EMH(7-8). Not too many people waiting for the monorail. A lot of them were not even there for the EMH. Lots of children were sat around playing with their Christmas presents(gameboys, DS, Ipods, PSP's) when they could have had an extra hour in bed.
In the EMH we got on Buzz Lightyear, Indy speedway,Peter Pan, Snow White, Haunted Mansion and was on the 6th ride (It's a Small World or purgatory as DH calls it) at 8am.
Time for breakfast at Cosmic Rays and another few rides before the show on the castle (we missed this at MVMCP).
Crowds were still not too bad at about 11am so after the show we went to try and get the High School Musical but after a few spots of rain on the stage it was called off.
So it was back to the exit via the shops and a couple of picture stops.
Going back on the boat, the boats that were coming in were packed
, and I mean full to capacity as were the monorail and trams. The Boats even had a queuing system so there was at least 4 full boat load of passengers waiting.
Because we got in early the car was within walking distance, don't think we have ever been so close to the entrance.
It was always our intention to do until lunchtime in the park and DD wanted to open her presents, she was disgusted we were up at 5.30 and never got to open them before we left the Hotel
.
Got back to the hotel around 1pm opened our presents then the heavens opened. DD was sat on the bed watching the tornado warnings in the vicinity as we were sat on the balcony watching the animals.
We had a table booked for 7pm at Bomas for our Christmas meal. It was a fantastic meal(buffet) if not a little strange on Christmas Day no Turkey, stuffing, Cranberry sauce or worst still Christmas Pud.
I had been telling DD about the zebra domes and how she must try them. Very nice but I personally wouldnt rave about them. The thing I liked about the buffet was that the sweets were bite size. Not at all like the huge portions you expect, still we need a word with the chef a few minuature christmas puds would have gone down great.
Then it was off to the Mara to fill up our mugs and back to the lobby for a spot of people watching, before making the long walk to our room for an early night.
