Tarzan on Broadway (mini review)

I saw Tarzan on broadway last night and I was totally impressed.

I read several negative reviews about this show and for the life of me I can't figure out why. My wife and daughter both feel the same we. We all loved it.
In fact, we liked it much better then the Lion King. We liked Lion King but weren't that impressed. We see two to three broadway shows a year and Tarzan is now one of our top ten.

We loved Beauty and the Beast, but I actually liked Tarzan better. Lion King was our least favoriate of the Disney Broadway shows we have seen. If you have kids, this is the play for you. If you want a romantic evening this is the show for you. Heck, for anyone who want's to see an outstanding broadway musical, this is the show for you. I have learned my lesson not to listen to the critics. This show is simply the best broadway has to offer. Don't miss this show. The music was great, the amazing acrobatics were well "amazing" and the set was great. The special effects in this show were the most innovative I have seen on broadway. I can see where the $20 million went. Disney did not cheap out on anything.

I was very very impressed with this show. If you get a chance to catch it. GO.

DH and I saw Tarzan on Broadway yesterday too! I wonder if we were sitting near you...

Anyway, I couldn't agree with you more. We thought the show was amazing and the actors were fantastic. We were in the 5th row of the orchestra and could see everything. Songs were great, special effects were fabulous and the beginning (I won't include any spoilers!) definitely rivaled that of Lion King for impact. I would highly recommend this show to anyone.

By the way, after the show, we waited at the stage door to get autographs from members of the cast (I've NEVER done that before!) and they were all soooo nice. They took time to sign Playbills, pose for pictures and chat with people.

We saw Tarzan last week and completely agree with the above posters. Even our DS19 loved it! It is visually amazing and the music is great.The cast does a wonderful job and it was pure delight. Our DS11 also liked it better than Lion King. I don't understand the critics. We go to Broadway alot, about once a month and this show was a stand out! We also waited for autographs and photos and everyone in the cast was super friendly. Don't hesitate to see this one....it is Broadway at its best.

Wow! This was our 1st-ever trip to NY and our 1st-ever Broadway show. It was so awesome! The sets, the "special effects," the energy.....! We loved every moment.
