Came to our Target for the B2G1 sale on video games. They guy told us they are ringing up B1G1. Seems like a nationwide issue. They weren't sure when/if it was getting corrected, so if you were planning on taking advantage of this, I'd go today.

wish i saw this earlier I was just at target and almost picked up a couple of games but could not truly justify the expense this would have made it a little bit easier on my mind

Did not ring up this way for me (Central IN)

That stinks...It worked this afternoon for us and the employee said it was a global issue but he wasn't sure how much longer till they fixed it. We got 6 games for $135 and that included kinect, xbox, and wii games.

He also said early this morning the had a bigger glitch and if you bought a $60 game and a $20 game the $60 game was the one ringing up free.

I would think most that knew this would be ringing them in by hand. Why would they continue to give away games?

I didn't try to get in on this glitch because I don't think it is honest. That's just me. However, I don't feel bad for Target at all. They don't fix errors this quickly when the customer is the one losing out. I've been in the store on a Saturday and advertised sales were not ringing up. Their grocery section is always wrong. It seems routine for them to milk money out of customers who don't pay close attention to the register/receipts.

As for the honesty part - DH caught the error & pointed it out to the cashier. Cashier called the manager, manager called someone "official" (not sure of the title). Was told that they were aware of the problem & in the process of fixing it (this was 9:30 am), and to continue to selling them with the glitch until the problem was fixed. Also said it wasn't too big of a deal - because most people would buy 3 & wouldn't be aware of the glitch.

I wouldn't go so far as to say dishonest. I went with the intent to buy six games, which I still did. I had no control that they wrang up, and the employees knew and were telling people about it.

I don't think folks that went in the a.m. to buy and discovered it at the store are somehow "dishonest." I do find it to be an uncomfortable gray area when the glitch is posted here as "hey, look at target's mistake" implying others can take advantage of the mistake which is how I read the initial post. Otherwise, why even post it? That may not have been the intent, but it reads like it to me. Those types of posts happen on message boards all the time. Often it's for internet deals that later get canceled before they get fulfilled.

Like I said in my previous post, Target is notorious for not fixing errors that do not hurt it's bottom line, so I have no issue with customers in the store getting the better end of a mistake.
