Target price adjustment question

Tonight I bought the 32g ipod touch for dd for Christmas. I used the 10% off coupon from the website. Tonight I get home to look at the paper and tomorrow they are offering a $40 gift card with the purchase of the same ipod touch. Can I take me reciept in to get the gift card? Or can I return the one I have and rebuy it???? TIA

would like to know the answer to this question also. I did the same thing, 10% coupon and $20 gift card.

I don't know for sure...but with the discussions that were going around for black friday if it is a gift card being given they won't "price match" to give you the gift card. You would have to return the ipod and re-buy it to get the "gift with purchase". Is the coupon still up so you could print another 10% coupon to use if you were to go in tomorrow?

Ugh, are you kidding me? I just had to do this last week when the gift card went from $15 to $25. Now it's 40. I give up. They made me return and rebuy.

You also have to return the gift card, too and have all the same coupons. I don't know if it's worth the return since I did get the $10 gift card for the $50 purchase, too. Unless they come out with another one of those coupons later in the week.

Yes, as PP stated, you will have to return and rebuy it. I too just went through this. I do think the 10% coupon is still on the website. Good luck.

That's what I did too, but I did buy other things that was over the $50 to get the $10 card. I guess I'll return and rebuy, just printed off another 10% off coupon.... I'll post on what happens...

Though an interesting thing is when I first bought the ipod touch I had the 10% coupon and I had a coupon for a $15 gift card with a purchase of $150. When i had to return it, I gave them the $15 GC that came with the ipod, because it was part of the package. I tried giving them the other gift card for the $150 purchase, but they said I could keep it. So I guess in the long run I made a little more, because they gave me some money back when I rebought it, plus the $25 GC, plus the $15 GC from the original purchase, plus the $10 GC from the new coupon. Does that make sense?

ETA-Sorry, I was complaining about nothing. I checked the ad and the ipod touch I bought doesn't qualify for the 40 dollar GC.
