Target or Walmart near Detroit Airport

We usually fly out of Buffalo, but we're flying out of Detroit this week. When we fly out of BUF, I usually make a quick trip to Walmart and Target to pick up a few things. Does anyone know of a Walmart or Target location that is an easy stop off between the Windsor border and DTW?

I've been to the one on Ford road. Haven't been to the one in Allen park, but appears closer. The one at Ford Road is around a shopping area, with Fairlaine mall not too far. Do you have a gps? It would be easier to find.

I have been to the one in Allen Park and it is super easy to get to. You get off the I94 and the Target is about 2 minutes away (I can't remember the exit number). Plus, getting back on the freeway is easy. It is on the way to the airport so you don't have to go out of your way to get there. Also, there are other stores around it but I can't remember which - we only stop for the Target and the Panera Bread for lunch!

A GPS would help, as rjan said. I use GoogleMaps to get there.

pretty sure it is oakwood- it the exit for Greenfield village with the pink greenfield inn- you can see it from i94 there is a meijer there too

Yes it is the Oakwood exit, and when you come off the exit ramp, go over to the Left lane, turning Lt at the light. There is a Target and a Meijers, Taco Bell, Panera Bread, and lots of others(Best Buy). Real easy to get back on I-94 W to go on to the Airport!
