Target, in store with gc and red card: getting 5% off total?

My regrets if this is well known to all!....Buying Disney gift cards in store: at check out, with a Target gc and a red card, are you getting 5% off the total, or just off what the Target gc doesn't cover?

No, this has always been the way it worked in the store. The only loophole was the fact that online, you could get the 5% RED card discount when paying with gift cards.
