I just received a 5% discount promotion in my target cartwheel account. Is this different than the usual 5% I get for using my target red card? I'm a little confused and want to be sure I'm not missing a deal.

Yes it is different, so you can add it to your cartwheel and it will take the 5% off and then when you pay using the red card it will take off another 5%

So on the target app there is a tab that has coupons and stuff all you have to do is sign up for the app. Then you add the deals you want to use. Then when you check out you pull up the wallet part of the account and they scan it and the deals get added to your purchase.

For giftcards? I tried a disney one and it didn't work.

It might not work on gift cards I have never tried that

I tried it on Disney gift cards and could not get the double discount. I didn’t go to the store to try though.

These offers have never worked on giftcards.

I used it a couple of days ago, hoping that it might take off the extra 5% on a bunch of Disney gift cards I was getting for our upcoming trip. It didn't. No harm, no foul. I was going to buy them anyway - an extra 5% would have been nice, but I'm just happy to save the 5% with my Redcard.

I thought Target closed Cartwheel and started Target Circle instead? Is that correct, or does Cartwheel still exist?
