Target gift cards to buy Disney gift cards?

I want I make sure I have this right before I drain my vacation account. I believe I can buy the Target gift cards at 10 percent off, then use them to buy Disney gift cards ( but I will not be able to get the 5 percent Redcard discount) ?

I literally just bought a $50 giftcard at Target for 10% off but the cashier said I couldn't use a gift card to buy a gift card. Plus, it's not redeemable until the 29th. I guess I'll try online tomorrow.

I called the Target gift card customer service number yesterday and the lady told me YES, I can purchase a gift card with he Target gift cards. I also called my local store. it is my understanding there is some discrepancy between stores if you can do that or not. You should call your local store and ask.

Not to be snarky (promise ) did you *ask*? That typically is the issue as they seem to be unaware. The biggest advice I have is don't ask. If you are purchasing a Disney gift card with your Target gift card, just hand it to them or use from your mobile device to pay for it. I do this all the time, have for years and no issues. Once you draw attention to it or give them a reason to question it it seems to go downhill. The system will allow it so you aren't doing anything wrong

Also = try and throw in a few other items. I'm always grabbing the Disney gifts at each trip to Target and have groceries, toiletries, etc. I never just buy Disney cards with Target cards as that might get them going...hmm... But again, the system will allow it.

No I didnt ask. I just handed the card over. She looked at it and said, sorry you can't buy a gc with a gc. So I'll try again with other items and see if that helps.

Also, I just tried to use that same gc on target.com and it's not working yet. I guess I have to try tomorrow.

The promotion says that the discounted GCs cannot be used until 11/29. I'm sorry if you thought that you would be able to use it for today's sales but they were very clear about that.

Sorry. I thought that maybe you were trying to double-dip on the GC sale and the Black Friday sales. There's no harm in trying but there should be no surprises when it fails to work. No need for snark.

Same here. I believe they love to say "No".
