Target Gift cards-10% off on Sunday, 12/2 (used them to buy Disney GC's last year)

Last year I took advantage of this sale and purchased Target gift cards at 10% off that I then used to purchase Disney gift cards. There was no issue with this transaction last year but you may want to clarify in case the policies have changed this year. (some places do not allow you to purchase gift cards with gift cards). Could be a way to save on your Disney gift cards.

Policies have changed this year. Target no longer allows the purchase of Disney or other third-party gift cards with a Target gift card.

You are no longer allowed to purchase Disney gift cards with Target gift cards, online or in store. Haven't been able to do it since early this Summer.

Today I had 3 $5 target gift cards like the ones you get when you buy so much in paper towels etc.. I had about $150 in merchandise and one $25 Disney gift card. I could not even use those $5 gift cards with the Disney card on my checkout. She had to remove the Disney gift card. I thought it was strange because I still had so much in other stuff!

That's so strange! Did you just do it in a separate transaction? Don't they realize we can just immediately do another transaction and we still get the gift card?

It was not the check out lady, it was her register! Once she wrong up everything ($150 in stuff and $25 Disney gift card) it would not allow her to use my 3 little $5 gift cards! It wasn't like I was using them on just the Disney Gift card! She took my Disney gift card off and they went through just fine. I paid for the $25 card separately (got my 5% off using the red card). It is like they buckled down big time.

Really hope no one stocked up thinking they could do that this year. Target is nationwide now in GC to 3rd party gift cards are not allowed. The computers won’t allow the transactions, the people can’t override that.
