Target employee discount plus red card for discounted disney gift cards

Does anyone know if a Target employee gets their discount plus the 5% off for their red card when purchasing Disney Gift Cards? My son works for Target and wasn't sure.

Yes they do : I spent $893.47 for $1100 worth of disney gift cards using my target redcard, my husbands employee discount and a pharmacy rewards discount!

Yes -- just remember that the additional 5% discount will be 5% off the card price w/Team Member discount, making the whole thing closer to 14% off (which is still a good deal).

Yes, but the 10% discount card can only be used by SPOUSE or DEPENDENT of the Team Member. A parent is not a spouse or dependent.

So you can't use your son's employee discount.

Little things may have flown under the radar if you have used it now and then. But showing up with a big stack of gift cards will be a red flag.

Folks have been fired over misuse of the team member discount. Precisley by young employees giving it to their parents. It's pretty easy for Target to track the purchases. (Heck, I know some ETLs that won't use their discount because they don't want Target to know what they are buying! lol)

So if your son has a Target card and a TM discount he can knock himself out and buy all the cards he wants. But please don't jeopardize his job by being his parent and using his discount.
