Target - Disney Gift Cards

I just finished my $1300 gift card purchase. Like many on here, it would not let me pay for the full amount with my Red Debit. However, it did let me put $500 on my regular debit and then the balance on my Red Debit. The manager then gave me the 5% back on the $500 in cash. So it all worked out fine. HOWEVER, I am bummed out because they just told me I could've stacked multiple Pharmacy Rewards discount cards! Two different managers told me they do stack. If I had known, I wouldn't have used my other one a few weeks ago and saved it. Oh well, now I know! So stack those Pharmacy Rewards for even more savings!

So there's a limit on how much they will let you purchase directly on the red debit card? I am headed up to target today and I wanted to buy about $1400 worth if cards but now I'm wondering how this will work? I just got the red debit card so I'm not too familiar with the details!

I know you can use your red card and 1 RX reward card, but the back of the RX card reads " limit one certificate per transaction". I currently have 3 so if they will stack them I would love to know.

There must be individual limits on the RED Card.

About 2 months ago, I purchased $2400 in Disney Gift Cards with my RED Card and my Pharmacy Certificate. I have no idea what my limit is, but it is definitely over $2400.

If you just got the card, chances are, you will not be able to do whole amount on Target debit. My card was fairly new, and I was declined whole amount, had to do a smaller amount and put some on my regular debit card.

Well that's frustrating ! I'm gonna have to so it in smaller increments I guess! Thanks for the info though!

I'm anxious to hear confirmation from someone who is actually able to stack their Pharmacy Rewards, because I was a little leary even though two managers told me it was allowed. If this is possible, this could mean BIG savings!

Remember, if you can't put the total amount on your Red Debit card and you have to use another form of payment, ask a manager to honor the 5% discount on the other form of payment as well. I read on here that many others were able to do this, and it worked for me as well.
