After 2 months of back and forth, I received this response. I suppose it was the target circle code that made the purchase ineligible. I’m done fighting it, and I’m done with Rakuten.

“We checked on your Tripadvisor order and it looks like your Cash Back amount was adjusted because part of your order isn't eligible for Cash Back.

Here are some reasons why this happens:

• Part of the order was returned, exchanged, canceled, or price matched.
• The order contained an excluded item. You can find exclusions for Tripadvisor listed on their store page: https://www.rakuten.com/tripadvisor.com
• A non-Rakuten coupon was used. To be safe, stick to codes provided by Rakuten.

We know it's frustrating when you don't earn the Cash Back you expected. If you think this is a mistake, copy/paste your order confirmation as a reply to this email and we'll look into it some more.”

Not only did the Tripadvisor/Target Circle code not work for me at topcashback, they also gave me a 0.00 for a recent Priceline Express deal on All Star Sports. Again, this was such a strong and unexpected deal that I am still pretty much satisified with just the deal as-is. It just seems like many months go by while things are supposedly happening in the background to verify cash back. This is 2024--kinda painful to be conducting business this way. The couple of times it worked, I had to wait almost ten months to get 62 cents or something. Sheez

I had forgotten about the TopCashBack from mine. Similar to others, it showed 0 with none pending for months and I'd written it off as not going to work. I took my trip early March, and just now checked back today...I have $58 available for payout! Now I have to figure out how to access that (I made the TopCashBack account specifically for this deal )

Mine shows pending right now also. I didn't use the tickets yet - but had put in a May date just to put in a date. It is showing giving me 10% back, wasn't it supposed to be 20%?

I think it was 10%. The tickets were discounted 20% with the Target code.

Finished trip April 27th and 62 bucks was pending and now declined as well. I opened up a ticket with all the proper info but I'm not holding my breath. These cash back sites really should get their act together and if it's the vendor then they shouldn't work with the vendor anymore. Can't offer something to people and not deliver. Not great business.

Got my $278 payout yesterday!! Ordered in October, traveled early January!! It took an inordinate amount of hassle. And on one of my payouts, it wasn't the correct percentage, but I did not fight it because I was afraid it was gonna screw up the other two.

My cash back from last years purchase is finally pending in both mine and dh accounts. Our tickets were originally 9/28 7 day hoppers. They have since been changed to an AP and the other to January 2025

I got that same Target offer too. Activated it, bought $150 in DGC and for the first time ever, it didn't track for me. I'm extremely disappointed.

I got $10 for $80 (or $85?) spend. It added my bonus to my wallet almost immediately. I rarely ever use Target Circle. I bought in-store DGC and Home Depot Gift Card along with some household items.

Same here...I read the fine print and it only excludes Target gc's and Amex/mc/visa prepaid cards. What the heck?

Give it a couple days. If it doesn't go through contact Target support
