Thats one thing I am going to miss this year, we have not been down since 2003 and hoped they would bring bad some type of Epcot Parade. For some reason we all just enjoyed that parade. Glad I had the video camara to tape it last time.

That was my favorite parade - actually it's the only parade I liked. Because the route was so long and so wide - there wasn't the typical "fight" to see what was going on.

I have the CD in my car - listen to it every day

Oh man..... That was so my favorite as well. I miss that parade. Bothe the TON & TOD. I have the cd as well and play if very often. I might have to throw in my vacation footage to watch that tonight.

Doesn't Epcot have a birthday coming up? If so, that would be a nice time to resurrect the parade. We loved it. I still get goosebumps when I hear the music.

We sadly mourn the end of the Tapestry parade, too! We actually saw it in 2000 when it was the Tapestry of Nations parade, tied into the Millenium Celebration. The puppets were taller than when it became Tapestry of Dreams. They often had to cancel it because of the winds when they had the really tall puppets -- and they even had to do that with the slightly smaller ones in Dreams at times, too. I listen to the CD all the time, especially now that we are planning a trip for June! I love to walk the long way around World Showcase after Illuminations to listen to the Tapestry music and just enjoy our favorite place. sigh......

We loved it too, but it was a logistical and staffing "nightmare" to conduct.

SO many problems keeping guests' foot traffic moving around/past the routes (when at full capacity, there were actually THREE separate parades in three sections of WS going on at the same time!)

But credit Disney for making it WORK, even with all the hassle...

The parades had a spectacular look, sound and some of the best-ever interactions with the crowds watching... kids AND adults.
Those puppeteers and drummers were magnificent!

I LOVED that parade! I actually posted yesterday, I think, asking if anyone knew if it still existed somewhere in the World. I had no idea there was a CD or I would have bought it last time. shucks. It was the BEST parade, IMO.

I didn't like it one bit. They ran that parade 2 times per night. It got in the way of the normal pedestrian traffic around the World Showcase. That double decker bus was a pain too. WDW was wise to get rid of such junk.

What a wonderful memory!!! It was the first parade my eldest GD saw! She was only four at the time. Three years later, her sisters saw it for their first parade! We have many wonderful pictures and also the music from the parade. We miss it terribly.

Loved it - DH and I listen to it as well. After 9/11 there were financial cutbacks - many things went - I also loved the Hunchback of Notre Dame at MGM - and before that the Pocahontas on stage. Loved the juggler that warmed up the crowd for Hunchback. It is sad, isn't it?

I loved this parade. It was a feast for the eyes and ears. I wish they would bring it back.

Please bring back this parade!! As you can see from my tag by the tag fairy, it was my favorite..... I even made a special trip over there to see the last performance....was very sad

We all miss the Tapestry parades. They were my favorite too and I have never found anything since that gives me the same feeling that I got when I watched that parade! I understand the problems that they had with wind but, with the Imagineers, nothing is impossible. They can make it work somehow!

Bring Back the Tapestry of Nations Please!!!!

I got this e-mail address from a recent post on the boards. I havent tried it yet, so this seems like the perfect time. I encourage all that miss Tapestry of Nations to e-mail Disney and see if we can persuade them to bring it back. They will only take notice if they get an overwhelming response!
