What was the difference between the two parades other than the name? I use the names interchangably and I don't remember which one I even saw (in 2000)! Thanks!

Tapestry of Dreams got rid of the Sage of Time and added these Elfin creatures I never quite figured out. I vaguely remember kids adding their dreams to one of the floats, but my son wasn't interested so I never paid much attention.

The best part of both parades was the music, but I really missed the Sage in ToD.

I wish they would bring back that parade. My ds was 2 when he saw it and still remembers it! S

I believe if you saw it in 2000, you saw Tapestry of Nations. It was followed a year or two later by Tapestry of Dreams. The theming was a different, put they used a lot of the same puppets. I loved both. I remember that the parade was very weather sensitive, and was sometimes cancelled because of wind.

I loved that parade. I wish they would bring it back. The music was awesome. I wonder if you can find it anywhere.

You can get it on some of the park music CDs. I was never a big fan of the Dreams version, but I LOVED Tapestry of Nations. I have it on a CD that also has the Illuminations soundtrack.

For a brief time, they did a pontoon cruise where you got to watch the parade from the boat, sort of how they do the Illuminations cruises. We did it once, and I'm so glad we did. It is a very special memory.

Here's a few pictures from the parade. I loved both of the parades. The Tapestry of Nations was there during the Millennium Celebration in 2000. Then for a little while while in 2001 they had The Tapestry of Dreams.

I loved both parades.
They were weather sensitive, both to rain and wind because of how large the puppets were.
I'm not sure if this is true, but I also heard that there were some CMs with back strains/back injuries because of the weight of the puppets and the difficulty with manouvering them in wind.

They pipe it in after Epcot closes for the night. We were at closing three nights, and we got to sing along! :rolleyes1 I don't know if you can purchase it anywhere now tho.

HERE and HERE is what the CD looks like.

It may still be being sold at WDW.

It used to be at most of the resorts, all of the major park gift shops and at DTD at World of Disney and Once Upon a Toy .

We have so many magical moment memories of WDW, but the Tapestry of Nations parade holds the dearest of them all for us when a butterfly puppet closed her wings around my little DD at the time. She still recalls her "butterfly hug". Purely magical! We still sing and hum the song!

My daughter absolutely loves the Tapestry Of Dreams version of the song. She calls it the "Way Ya" song. LOL:goodvibes She sings it almost every day as it's part of our CD collection in our Honda Odyssey. If we're not watching a Disney video in the van, we're listening to POTC music from the movie or listening to a Disney CD which you can hear on DIS radio.

The CD is still available many places as I purchased Dreams/Nations on eBay a few months ago. You can find it using Google as there are lots of places that sell either CD. It's cheaper if you DON'T buy it from Disney; trust me on this one.

This parade would be so fantastic to bring back to Epcot. I was excited to see this thread and hoping that it was coming back. Oh well, you never know when it may be reborn again.

I had a roommate that really threw her back out. While crossing a bridge the wind caught her puppet. I guess they were pretty dangerous depending on the weather.
