Tanya & Dan's VR DCL!!!Dec 4, 2009 MK & Epcot Photoshoot Pics Posted

the invite is too cute!!
Thanks!

the Cinderella Castle by Thomas Kinkade is the most beautiful painting i have ever seen- i went to the Florida Mall this year when on holiday and realised he had a small gallery there and it had that painting in there (he was also doing a PA, but i was ill and couldnt go on that particular day dammit!) I admire his work so much, and i wish wish wish i knew of him when i studied art for the last century of my life ...(okay, my high school and college years which is like 6 years haha!) As he would have been my inspiration for all my projects! I know his paintings arent even that expensive so ......

One day i will have that painting.... One day i will own 'Cinderella's Castle'...One day... .:lovestruc

So of course, you get my approval... because of THAT picture... :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc
Thanks! I think that picture is gorgeous! I would love to have a giant painting of it as well. Have you seen his other disney paintings? There's one with Pinoccio and Cindy and Prince Charming. They are all so beautiful. I wish I could get them all! I need to turn my house into a tribute to wdw. :rotfl:

i love the thomas kincade pics! the invites are beautiful!

we had an amazing time! lorelei danced with mickey her first nite at hs! wow! no worries, we didnt get in til three and then we fianlly got to hs around 6 for emh's. now i knwo what it was so quiet, everyone was caught in transportation issues at the kingdom!

i havent started my trip report, i just finally got them all loaded to fb. that took forever! were looking at maybe next year! oh and jsut this past sunday i got my ring that i wanted!
It sounds like you had a great time. You must post a pic of your ring! I want to see it.

I always say that I want to do a tr, but I am too lazy. I have way too much other stuff to do right now.

first of all your daughter is to cute! Also I love your invitations if you dont mind I may have to steal that idea I love that picture.

So I have been trying to score things on ebay, and trying to buy things a little at a time, but now we are getting so close!!!

I bought a lot of hair stuff on ebay. It is all coming from China, and it was only .99! (Plus some shipping.) I got some cute hair clips, but I haven't taken a picture of them yet. I also got these pins:

I ordered 3 of these for my flower girls:
dad5_1_b.jpg

I bought Mackenzie a tiara at WDW a while back, but I have no clue where it went! So we'll have to do Mickey instead.

I ordered my freeze dried rose petals for the ship!!! :cool1:
With shipping, it cost $25.00 for 10 cups of petals from save-on-crafts.com
I think this is a reasonable price and amount for petals that will blow away. I'm not paying Disney a ton of money for that! ;)
Here are the colors I got:
Pink - of course! These match my mickey pomanders I made.

bevfabriccrafts_2045_1196802466.jpg

And a mix:
bevfabriccrafts_1984_181944983.jpg

They also had freeze dried blue hydrangea petals, and I may order those as well. We'll see what these look like when they get here.

I have also decided to be thrifty about the sand ceremony. I'm not going to bring it on the ship. I've had conflicting confirmations about bringing it on an off from Disney. So we've decided that it is one of the things we would like to do at home in front of family. However, the containers are like $50 and up! Plus the sand can even get pricey!

So...I took sand out of our driveway. YES, the DRIVEWAY! One of the joys of living in SW FL. I took it and mixed it with a little water and food coloring.
Tanyasweddingstuff007.jpg

Tada! Colored sand for free. Here are the best colors I made:
Tanyasweddingstuff009.jpg

Then I am going to get some glass containers from the Dollar Tree for all of us. So for $5 I'll have a sand ceremony.

aw the mickey hair clips are cute! I've been looking for some like that!

I need to do my rose petals too! Save-on-crafts seems like a good price! I think i was looking at Flyboynaturals.com for like 2x that much!

You are so crafty! I get so many great ideas from your PJ!! :thumbsup2 I love the invites- gorgeous! And great idea on the sand, and all the other purchases are too cute! I'm very interested in your petals - I will be looking in to that for our VR!

Have a great weekend! :goodvibes

you are just so crafty!!!! i wish we coudl get stuff online up here for cheap, but by the time you add shipping and the exchange and then having to pay duty on it, its insane!

love the cheap sand idea! and hte colors look great!

we had an amazing time and yeah i know, we got home thursday, friday it was back to preschool for miss, then swimming, then a wedding on saturday, a bday party for her friend on sunday and of course it was our thanksgiving last weekend, so two- one at the inlaws, one here. then it was this week and im still unpacking and hubby left wenesday for more training. oy! todays our tenth and i celebrated with chinese with the kids and finding nemo! lol

i will post ring pics- i dropped it off today to be sized! and i had to drop off my engagement ring as that broke down there! :scared1: just the band, but she said it was thin which is why it broke and now it'll be 160 for it to be fixed, i nearly passed out.

Thankfully I have never had to get my ring fixed. I lost a diamond out of my wrap once, and it made me sick to look down and see that hole!!! At least it was covered under warranty. I hope you get your ring back soon.

Thanks! I love making things and creating things! I guess you could call me an artist.

The petals came today, and they are gorgeous! They even smell like roses! 10 cups doesn't seem like very much though. I didn't open the packages, but they are pretty small. I'll have to post pics with a frame of reference. I may order 2 more bags.

Freeze dried petals are so expensive! It seems like it would be cheaper to buy roses and tear them apart.

Here are the other hair clips I got for $.99 for all three!

I have no idea what I am going to do with my hair yet, but if I pull some of it up, it will take a lot of pins and clips b/c it is so short.

I also ordered hair extensions yesterday from QVC! LOL! At least I can return them if they look bad. We'll see how that goes.

I keep procrastinating about doing a paper for my classes, so I've spent the day working on more paper decorations for our reception. I've made more flowers, and tried to make some paper roses. But those came out really ugly, so I'll spare pics! :rotfl2:

I did make some paper balls to hang from string around the reception area. Here are a few of them:
FirstBaptistDaycare417.jpg

Here is a really large one:
FirstBaptistDaycare418.jpg

These were fun to make. The kids even helped me.

I also got a present from the Disney store. My husband always tells me that I look like Belle, and calls himself the Beast b/c he is large and hairy. LOL! When we opened this, he joked that instead of turning from a Beast into a prince, that he has gone the other way around.

hahahaha!!!!

love the hair clips! too cute.

they never did tell me howlong it would take, only how much. silly me i should of waited til my friend was working and see what she had to say about it. this is the second time it broke. the style i have there are three small diamons on each side and then in the middle is a small cluster thats supported by 4 posts. about 6 yrs ago one broke and i was devastated! that was 70 to fix up. this time i have to get it re-shanked she said as its so thin. oy....but the good news of my day...we may be goign back to disney in april!

I keep saying I am going to post wedding pictures of some of the recent weddings we photographed, but I haven't done it yet. If anyone has been on my website, they've probably seen these, but I love some of these pictures! This was a really cute couple that got engaged at Cinderella's castle, and she had some hidden Disney touches in her wedding. I wish I had more time to photograph them! They were so much fun.

Awesome job on the mad hatter cake. I love the fact that your husband gets involved in making the cakes. It is so touching. Your pics are amazing and I always look forward to the treat! I can't believe your day is approaching soo fast. It sounds like you have got alot done. Do you have a list of what is left?

theyre beautiful...i esp like the one of the two of you at the end! :)
Aww...thanks! I love getting pics of me and my hubby together, because they are rare! He loves taking pics, but avoids being in front of the camera at all costs.:lmao:

Not a formal one. I need to make one though! I hate writing out lists b/c I freak out!! Really, the only things left are all of our fittings - which is coming up soon, shoes for the kids, bases for the topiaries, and possibly an aisle runner! I also have to gather up all of our birth certificates and pack!!!!!:cool1:

a thousand thumbs up for coloring sand from your driveway! I love it!
Thanks! I thought of you when I made the green b/c it came out super bright crayon green.

Love the paperflowers!!! Love the dresses, and I am so happy for you about getting your diploma. It took me 20 years to get my BA, so it means alot to me!!!

Thanks for reading along. I totally missed this post! It took me 13 years to complete my degree. I am so excited to actually have it done! Now I'm torturing myself with both a master's degree and a professional certification in photography.

Here are a few more recent pics of DH & me.

Also, my first son Michael, died during childbirth 5 years ago. He's our guardian angel, and we love him and miss him so much. We had a very difficult time recovering from that. We spent the first 5 years of our relationship trying to concieve, and had a lot of fertility issues. I had several surgeries and 3 miscarriages along the way. We were soooo excited to finally have a baby!!

I went into premature labor several times, and my labor was stopped. I went into labor again at 36 weeks, and he just died suddenly with no explanation. We never found out what happened. We think it was a cord accident, but there was no visible knot. The grief and devastation we felt ripped us apart.

6 months later, Hurricane Charlie came through and devastated our home. We lost over half of our possessions, and had to move in with my mom until we could build a new home. My marriage almost didn't make it that year. My husband and I grieved in very different ways.

At least I miraculously got pregnant again with my son Drew, and that really helped bring us back together. This is all part of why we really want to do a VR. We feel like celebrating again.

Here is the best picture I have of my son. I had to photoshop it recently due to his bruising, etc. I'm so glad with the way it turned out. I've printed it out really small, and I got a sterling silver picture pendant to put it in. I am going to tie it onto my bouquet.

thats a wonderful idea! thank you for sharing michael with us. i know it was hard for you. we recently had a walk to remember in halifax to remember all of our lost babies. 1st year and over two hundred paticipants. it was so nice to be surrounded by others who have gone down this path.

love the new pics- and mines the same way!

oh were coming down again in april! gotta love those 40% off codes- we should finally meet up!

I'm so sorry Tanya, i couldn't imagine what you guys went thru! The locket will be beautiful!

Thanks guys. It was a hard time in our lives, but we have since been blessed with 2 beautiful babies!

So I've been looking at more shoes! :rotfl2: I do not need another pair of shoes. In fact I have yet to even try a pair of heels since our accident. I may need to wear flats. I'll have to get my shoes out and start breaking them in.

I was wanting to get some of these for Mackenzie. But I didn't want to spend more on her shoes than I did on her dress!

This is where I am back to wanting things that I totally don't need! :rotfl:

I decided to get these for Mackenzie from Target. They are a close match and way cheaper!

Awww.... thank you for sharing that. Our first baby was a similar situation.

We also feel very blessed to have our two children since. But still, it is a loss that will always stay with you. When we lost our daughter, my mother talked a long time about a baby my grandmother lost, and how it always stayed with her even, as a sister. It's something that's always with you- time does heal, but not completely, you know? When the time of her birth comes up every year, I still grieve.

But it really impacts the marriage- we got so much closer going through all of that. And part of this vow renewal is a celebration, of not just being together and our joy, and our living children, but of our strength, our pain, and all we've suffered together in life and held on through, the child we lost, and the other loved ones we've lost along the way. I imagine that is similar for you as well. It reminds you to celebrate the good things while you have them too...

Big hugs to you :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

lorelei had a pair of pink ones like that, but from wally hole. and of course they had the princesses on the inside of them. she loved them and was so upset when she grew out of them!

Ok - so my at home anniversary party/reception - whatever I should call it - is going to be a year away. But that doesn't mean I am not totally obsessing about it! :rotfl:

Also, I think that we are going to get a silly Cinderella and Prince Charming cake made. It's like something a 6 yr old would have for a b-day party, but I got to get my princess in somewhere! Plus it is really cute!

Wow I just read through all of your pj. Let's see, I'm a year away, more now actually, and very excited and I want to do so many things, but dh is like nah, we've got time to talk about that stuff later. The cake is such a cute idea, and your dh did an amazing job on your dd cake.
Your shoes (all of them) are gorgeous. I can't believe you made that tiara, it's beautiful!!!! The ring in the slipper is so sweet, he did a good job there! Your wedding day looked so great! I'm thankful you are healing from the accident. Hugs about your grandma.
Big congrats on your Bachelors!

And you are so creative, I love the kissing balls, and the STD, and your invites, and everything. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
