Tansportation question about 8:00 Character Breakfast in Animal Kingdom

Ten of us have 8:00 Am reservations for the character breakfast in Animal Kingdom. We were told to arrive at Animal Kingdom at 7:30 to be able to get into the park at 7:45. We were also told (by the CM who made the reservations for us) we would not be able to use Disney's transportation that early in the morning and we should get a cab (ten of us...I guess a van). We are staying at Pop Century...My question is...Should we call a cab the night before to be in front of the hotel at 7:15..or wait until that morning to call?

That is the second time someone has posted that a CM said no early transporation. I have never heard of that, we have always used busses for early PS breakfast with no problem. Is this something new? You may also get an answer on the

In May 2003 we had early PS for AK as well. Bus was alittle late running that day. No problem though the restaurantsaurus accomidated all that arrived late. Usually the busses are running early because of early entry hour. I don't think you will have any problems. I Disney transportation is to blame the restaurants are extremly accomidating. We enjoyed our breakfast and also were one of the first riders on the safari.

You can use Disney transportation, we did 4 days of our trip. Just be at your bus stop at 7 am and the busses will start coming very soon after.

You can do a search for a thread titled "Character Breakfast Transportation Information" by Tyler (Chip N Dale Express) on this board, he's a bus driver at Disney and gave good info.

Do NOT take a cab. I believe the taxis have to go through the AK toll plaza and the toll plaza doesn't open until about 350 minutes before the gates open. So, if it's not an EMH day, the taxi will be sitting in a line of cars, the meter just ticking away.

The busses start running about 7AM for the AK. So a bus will get to PC at about 7:10 and one every 20 minutes or so after that.

Actually, the information CMs are giving out is very old. There were no early busses originally (many many years ago) and it takes a looong time for information to get to everyplace it needs to at Disney
