Tanning with tattoos?

I'm getting my first tattoo on our next recent WDW vacation. I'm extremely pale, and burn fast. I have to use tanning beds before we go to florida so im not a total crisp. i'm afraid when I get it, and am at disney the sun will efffect it. does anyone know anything about this, or if its dangerous? thanks!

Aren't tanning beds themselves quite dangerous? Increased risk of skin cancer?

FYI i'm majorly pale and i burn instead of tan i use a little something called suncream. To start off with a put a high factor on then i lower it gradually so i'm tanned not burnt.

im extremley pale too and all i do is burn.
if youre getting a tattoo do not go to a tanning salon.
get the strongest sunblock you can, and sit out in the midday sun for little intrevals at a time. i.e.: dont fall asleep. this is the only way i know how to safely get tanner skin.
a tan wont hurt your tattoo. but a tanning bed's uv lights will hurt it and your skin.

and as for our florida sun, and being with pale skin, you should know the drill. stock up on the sunblock i use aveeno spf 55 and it protects me all day. my brother who has two tattoos uses it as well and everthing has always turned out fine. but for safety, you could always just make sure it is covered at all times. the sun will not hurt your tattoo.

I wouldn't do it in Florida. If someting goes wrong it could ruin your vacation very quickly. And you'll have to take care of it a lot, not fun on vacation.
