I would like some feedback from anyone that has tried the new Tangled Play and Greet that replaced Storytime with Belle. How long is the wait? Are any showings less crowded than others? Thanks!

It depends, as the day progresses, the waits get worse, Over the Christmas season, there were people waiting upwards of two hours. My advice would be to do the first showing of that day. which should probably be 10:00 am. and avoid the last one of the day, because everyone who didn't get to it tries to make it to that one

I agree that you should get there well in advance of the first show.
We got lucky and did the P&G before the movie came out so there was no real line to speak of. Becky got to hold hands with Flynn for the dance and she was just on cloud nine about it!

BE there no later than 9:30 for the 10 AM set. Anything after that is a crap shoot. We were there 12/13, which is still a fairly low crowd time. They told me they cut the line at 3 the day before for the 5 PM set!

If you don't make that first group, you'll have to wait through their break and it's downhill from there. It's cute, but definitely not 2 hours cute. Just be there early, and you'll have a great time with little hassle.

what does this entail? how long does it last? is it a "show" like the storytime used to be (sort of) or just a pic with the characters? We are going with 2, 2yo and a 5yo- plus a bunch of other kids that are too old/young to be interested. but if its worth it we could split up.
THanks. anyone have any pics?

No much of a "show" at all. There is a big table. The kids gather around and color (really......... I wonder which imagineer came up with that!) until the characters come out. Then the dance around the table with the kids then go up on stage for photos.

Seriously, bring back Belle's storytime. It was WAY more interactive and entertaining. But if you want photos with the characters, it's the only way to do it. It skews WAY too young for my 10 year old daughter, who still loves to meet the characters, but is way past coloring.

So if we do the 10AM set, what time can we expect to be leaving? I'm trying to figure out whether we can do this and make reservations.

That will depend greatly on where you end up in the photo line after the brief dance. We were 3rd or 4th in line because my daughter didn't want to color or dance and we were done at 10:10. If you're participating, you will end up farther back in line and it will take longer.

It's like the Fairies...lines are long throughout the day. I suggest getting there @ 9:30 for the first show @ 10 (much like TT rope drop). In early December, the wait was an hour @ 4 for the show @ 5. Crowds were moderate @ the most.

It's a meet and greet. Just with Tangled instead of Belle.
But still just a meet and greet.

Is coloring great? No not really but it is better than standing in line waiting with nothing to keep the kids occupied.
And I doubt they make you color if you don't want to.

TO OP, thanks for posting this...I hadn't heard of it. We'll put it on our must do list. A chance for our kids to meet someone new and they like.

Yes, it's better for most than just standing in line. But they took out an adorable and more interactive attraction (Belle's Storytime) to put this there.

I think Belle's Storytime was a show with a meet & greet at the end. This is a meet & greet with some entertainment while you wait.

anyone have any pics?

Rapunzel entering, you can see the kids coloring at the table:

They spent a decent amount of time with each child. Here is DD:

we are going to be at MK on a saturday and tuesday...i think we will wait to try the line until tuesday...LOL

do they have the wait time posted by any chance? just in case we are passing by

If this was not my DD's "MUST DO" i would never have done it...
We were there 9:30am ( still 10 families back)

they only let a few people at a time.. the Cm pulled the rope across right behind us..

The kids color for about 5-7 min..

I told my hubby to get in line ( going up the ramp) while i took pics..
Worked Great! we were about 4 families back..

They let DD take a pic with a stuffed Pascal.. (does not even look like him)
Which the kid behind us cough all over it.. (my dd will not touch that again)

when we got to meet repunzel and flynn they did spend ALOT of time with DD

some advice for the CM who work the S&G
Please DO NOT tell kids to color something for thier parents or repunzel...

#1 DD Takes FOREVER to finish..
#2 When the cm tells her to give the drawing to her parents.. My DD gave her a nasty look... ( as to tell her i'm not done yet)
The Photopass guy there got the shot too.. I'll post it when my cd gets here..

She was in her snow white costume
altho in the shot she looks more like the evil queen..

hope you have fun..

DH went this morning with two of my DD's. The first set is at 9:15. So they were there right at rope drop and went to stand in line. They were the 3rd family in line. While DD's were coloring, my parents went to stand in line for the autograph. Rapunzel came out and they danced and then had the meet and greet. DH called me at 9:30 and they were finished and off to the next thing. For my girls it was the highlight of their day! DD was lucky enough to be standing next to Rapunzel and hold her hand during the dance, so it was very worth it!

Where is this? The set does not at all look familiar, so I assume they've recently built it?

We were there Thanksgiving week but it was so crowded, we missed a lot. Would be nice if DD could see this next month.

Is this the only place to meet Rapunzel? Honestly, I'm a huge fan of hers but I'm not really keen on attending something like this (especially if it takes a spot from a child who could enjoy the whole experience) just to meet her and get a photo/autograph...

We got there, on a relatively slow day, at 10:00 (the first show was at 10:15) and were second in line for the 11:15 show.

The line goes beside the Cinderella Wishing Well path - I think it's still called Fairytale Gardens - they just added banners and lamps to the Storytime with Belle set. You could also think of it as across the road from Cosmic Ray's or near the bathrooms by Cosmic Ray's.

Generally it's on the road between the castle and Tomorrowland.

There is a sign:

If you look closely you'll see a Mad Tea Party sign in the distance.

They let us in about 11:05, and lined the adults/non-coloring kids up along the far wall from the entrance. While the kids were coloring, the Photopass person would ask the adults to point out their kids, so they could get photos of the kids coloring. Then Rapunzel & Flynn came out. The first show they played hide and seek before starting the dancing (Flynn ran out and hid behind an adult), for our show they were both trying to find Pascal. Then they danced with the kids, and then the greets.

They do take a lot of time with the greets. DH was asking why it was an hour between shows when they let so few people in, but they really did only have a 10-15 minute break.

My girls, ages 3 and 6, absolutely loved it! They are pretty shy and reserved so they did not participate in the singing and dancing, but they watched. And they were thrilled to meet Rapunzel. This was before the movie was even released...needless to say, after they saw the movie, they were even more enamoured. We go again next week and this in on their "must do" list.
