I want to try something different at Epcot- Tanglerine Cafe sounds interesting. What do you recommend I get?

I usually get the chicken/lamb or just lamb shawarma platter. I also love the vegetarian platter.

2nd the Schwarma Platter!

This one is chicken and lamb. :)

I don't care for lamb but the chicken platter is excellent.

I love lamb and chicken. What is on the schwarma platter? It looks great.

Curious...when they say lamb, is it like the lamb one has inside a Greek Gyro? Is is tender/mild/strong/gamey?

This one is chicken and lamb. :)

As you look at the platter the green at the top is Tabouleh (parsley, tomato, lemon and a bit of bulger wheat), the orange color right next to it on the right is cous cous salad, the white with the onions on top is the chicken; bottom center with the onion and tzaiki sauce is the lamb (which I though was perfectly done - not gamey at all my kids even found out how much they liked lamb), the white is hummus and then the Moraccan bread in the center.

As a family this was our overall favorite just edging our Japan as our favorite CS. :)

Mmm, yes, the chicken and lamb schwarma platter is SOOOO yummy!

From AllEars:

Shawarma Platters- served with hummus, Tabouleh, and a Tangierine CousCous Salad with a Fresh Moroccan bread

It's been a couple years since I had it, but the lamb is very tender, very flavorful and not gamey at all. Everything else on the platter is awesome, too. I highly recommend the Baklava for dessert!

Can't WAIT to have it again next trip!

The chicken schwarma platter is fantastic! The couscous, hummus, tabouleh and olive salad are great too.

I used to love the falafel but they changed the recipe and I no longer like it..too spicy

DH loves the meatballs and saffron rice

I love Tangerine. The lamb swarma is like a gyro, they serve it with the tziki sauce. I think the platter is too much for one person, we always share.

If you want a little of everything, try the Mediterranean Sliders Combo.

Love it! This place is a must do for us every trip. The shawarma platter is fantastic. The only down side is that there is no air conditioning.

Oooooh Thanks!!! I've been wanting to try this place for the past several years but never have due to my picky food peeps.

This year it's a must! I don't care if I have to sit there by myself. That's where I'm eating!!!

We gave it a try in October and DH quite liked it but Ihated it mainly due to our tastes in food. Here in the UK we have 2 types of Moroccan food - nice authentic good restaurants (which I love) and manky old kebab shops (DH likes after a few drinks). IMHO the slider combo was more like the latter.

Meat was fine, bread was dry, couscous and hoummus like something bought in a cheap supermarket.

Won't be going again but DH says he will be calling in next year while I sample the food and wine festival LOL.

OH, I crave the schwarma platter - I'm getting hungry just typing about it!

The Tangierine Cafe is, in our opinion, the most under-rated of all the Disney dining options...."authentic Moroccan"? Not really. But great value and very, very tasty.

My family and I tried it last April. I am soooo picky with food and I absolutely loved the chicken platter. The dining room is very pretty and we will definitely be returning this year. :goodvibes
