Can anyone recommend some hotels that are on or very near the beach that are around $100 per night for mid March? All I can find online are airport hotels or the 5 star mega resorts that cost $350 per night.

We are having a hard time deciding where to go. First it was California, then it was Florida now maybe Myrtle Beach. Part of the problem is that we have never been able to get time off in March and now all of a sudden this year we can both get the time, so this was not planned in advance. Then just to make it even more complicated there are cheap flights to both Cali and FL. :confused3

personally, I would do Ft. Lauderdale over Tampa. I lived in Ft. Lauderdale so I may be bias, but it's 30 minutes from South Beach Miami and 20 minutes West Palm Beach. Also, 1.5 hrs from Napes if you are up for a trip and 2.5 hrs from Key Largo.

Now finding a room for $100 that might be a challenge.

Also, Destin which is North Florida has great beaches.

Good Luck.

How about St Pete's Beach...South of Tampa or Sarasota?
Not sure about the $100 per night, there might be some that are hungry but in March? Maybe not so much? What about a Condo? Have a look at VRBO? Might see something there that could work.

We used to own a Condo here...

Great part of the Beach and nice units. There is also Gulf Gate Resort next door which is a bigger complex. Lots to see and do, nice restaurants. 90 mins from you know where!;)
